It might be (saying might only so pls dont kill me if not true 😃) like Vampire Diaries sort of plot where he becomes vampire because she is and then she dies. Vampires can die in some circumstances depending on the fiction but some suggest exposure to sunlight, wooden stakes through the heart etc. In vampire diaries there are 2 brothers and they both love the same girl, who is vampire, she cannot choose between them so makes both vampires but when they are not going to reconcile for her and agree to live in harmony she goes in the sun without a protection gem and dies! Not saying it will be the same here but maybe something like that.

but abhay is alive he goes in sun every day

Mithali was killed by someone who wants to kill Chand & Haseena also so they left the Vampire world & came here so they can be safe with Abhay

Even i too felt the same, as Chaand -Haseena may be parents of Maithili, cause the way Abhay talks with Chaand is always, very diff😕😕
