I know most of you who have seen the immense finesse of shows like VD and Twilight are not going to agree with me but i thought that in yesterday's episode , the last frame where Abhay is holding Piya in his arms was such a beautiful shot - the way he held her in his arms and she was looking up at his face in that blue-grey-black lighting was surreal.
BTW, i don't think there is anything wrong with Abhay's acting at all. He is a non-human , stone-cold vampire who doesn't feel or else has stopped feeling long ago. He is neither sad - nor happy - nor expressive of anything except anger. So, that is how his face stays. Big deal. And i would have safely accepted Vivz to be a bad actor if i did not see how well he modulates his voice according to the situation. His dialogue delivery is cold and flat when he talks to people in a normal way. But when emotion rises , his modulation changes and you can clearly see that in his scene with Piya where he bashes her for spreading news of his herogiri... for the first time, you sense temper - an emotion in his voice. Similarly , in the last scene when he is delivering his lines , his face is straight and flat because he is not a goo-goo Romeo but the passion and intensity in his voice is clearly visible.
Abhay cannot express emotions because he doesn't have any.
We are not used to characters like Abhay who are these sadist inexpressive 100s of year old vampires , so it is kinda okay if he doesn't exactly come across as your SRK with roses in his hands. Additionally, in all folklore , all over the world, the interpretation of a vampire is different. So, understandably, Abhay is nothing like Edward, Stefan or Damon.
P.S- I have no doubts on Abhay-Piya's chemistry. They sizzle and without any offence to anyone, Kabir is lovable but couples like Kabir-Piya , no matter how adorable they appear , never have the angst , the impossible possibility and wait of a love like Abhay-Piya's.
