Sharad Kelkar, aka Nahar of Zee TV's Saat Phere - Saloni Ka Safar, is actually a pucca sportsman in real life. Sharad and some of his actor friends, tired of their daily schedules, wanted to explore their sporty side. So they decided to form a star-studded soccer team and named it Boxy Brothers.
Says an excited Sharad, "After hectic shooting schedules all the actors want some respite. Everyone wanted to play football, so, Salil Ankola, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Manav Gohil, Vikas Sethi, I and our good friend Dilip Agarwal have made a soccer team."
Once the team was formed other actors too were drawn to it. So, Bakhtyar Irani, Varun Badola, Anand Suryavanshi joined in. "We have invited lots of actors to join us, hope they do," he adds.
The three-week-old team has already played against the Jogeshwari Parsi Colony soccer team. They are planning matches with other teams also.
Since they are busy shooting from morning to late night through the week, they have fixed the matches for weekends from 7.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. What about the trainer? "We don't have any trainer. Most of us are physically fit and always keep track of our health. We have a great time since we are not playing to win a competition. These matches are just an escape from our erratic schedules," he adds.
