I'm posting a combined update for Nov 23rd and 27th, as the updates weren't posted on those two days. Sorry about that...I was busy so couldn't provide them on their supposed dates. Anyways, so this update is gonna be a long one since it is for two days...

~~UPDATE~~

Both Krishna and Radhika were very happy to hear that they would become parents soon. After the doctor went away, Krishna said that he couldn't believe he was going to become a father. Radhika too, stated that she was looking forward to her experience as a mother. "Isn't it ironic? Just yesterday we were talking about how children are a gift from God...and now I can't believe that we're going to have a child of our own!" said Radhika happily. Both of them hugged and made more plans for their future baby.

Everyone else in the family -- Mr & Mrs Sahay, Addy, Jitisha, Radhika's father, her brother Sonu, her sister Kaveri and brother-in-law Suresh....everyone rushed to the hospital when the heard the good news. All of the females started fussing over Radhika, advising her about what to do and what not to do.. Addy said that was happy to know that he would finally become an uncle. Mr. Sahay expressed that he was extremely delighted, and even though in this janam Krishna's baby wouldn't technically be his grandchild by blood, he was still feeling like he was going to become a grandfather. "Come on papa, how can you say something like that? You are this child's grandfather no matter what!" said Krishna, and continued "This baby is lucky. He/She is going to have so many grandparents, uncles and aunts." "I know yaar! Your baby will have like, six or seven grandparents...some from your current janam and some from the last one. Wow, I wonder what that child's family tree will look like!" said Addy. All of them laughed.

For some odd reason, Jitisha didn't seem too happy about Radhika's pregnancy. She just congratulated her once and then stood in the corner while the others were cheering and fussing. Addy noticed that and so did Krishna. But since Krishna was overjoyed and excited about being a father, he didn't pay much attention to Jitisha's behaviour. Addy asked her if she was okay, to which she replied that she was fine and just worried about some business related issues. Then she left the hospital.

Soon, Radhika was discharged and she went home. She called the Ranas and Rathores, and gave them the good news. They were all beyond thrilled....except for Vikrant, Akash and Dhanraj. All 3 of them went outside. "This is ridiculous. It adds a huge complication to our plans. Not only will Krishna's death cause more stress for Radhika, it could also harm our potential heir." said Vikrant. Dhanraj added that he would hate to see his daughter in pain while she is in this condition, but they would rather see her get hurt temporarily than see her with "that Rathore" for the rest of their lives. "I just hate the fact that my nephew will also have the blood of those Rathores running in his veins." said Akash.

In the late afternoon, Mantra visited Radhika. When he learned about her pregnancy, he felt even more frustrated about what he was ordered to do to Krishna. He congratulated her and left the house, feeling helpless. He went back to his hotel and wondered if he should tell Radhika that he wasn't the real Mantra...that he was hired by the Ranas. He kept wondering, but then told himself, Are you really willing to risk your own life along with the prospect of a huge sum of cash, just for the sake of Radhika and Krishna, who are nothing more than strangers to you?

That evening in the Rana house, Yash and Madhvi were the only ones at home as everyone else had gone to someone's wedding. Yash stayed because he had returned late from work, and Madhvi stayed because she had a bad headache. She asked him if he had found any information on Mantra. He said that he had assigned someone to investigate everything about this situation, and the investigator told him Mantra wasn't staying with a friend...he was living in a hotel in Mumbai. Madhvi wondered why he lied to everyone. Yash replied that he was wondering the same thing, especially since Mantra lied about another thing too...he wasn't even living in the hotel while Krishna-Radhika were on their honeymoon. "he should have been there. He said that he was with the same friend that he is now...and if that friend is a hotel, then why wasn't he in the hotel back then? He wasn't there, he wasn't with us and he wasn't with the Rathores. The problem isn't that he was not living with any of us...the problem is that he lied about it."

They heard the phone ringing in the living room. Yash went to answer it. The call was from a man who asked if this was Vikrant Raj Rana's house. Yash said that it was. The man asked if he could speak to Vikrant. Yash told him that Vikrant wasn't at home, and asked what his name was. The man said that he was calling from the United States. He gave his full name and number to Yash and told him to tell Vikrant that he called. "Just tell him that I called to inform that my son would be visiting India for a business meeting next week, and wanted to pay a visit to his house....I'll explain the details when I speak to him. I'm sure he would remember me...or atleast, he would recognize my son's name...Mantra...he was a good friend of Vikrant's grand daughter many years ago..." Yash was shocked to hear the name. "What? Your son Mantra? But he is already in India!" he said. "Pardon me? My son hasn't been to India ever since we moved abroad many years ago. He will be going there next week!" The man replied. Yash was stunned...he spoke to the man for the next few minutes, asking questions about Mantra...and then hung up. He hurried up to his room. "Who called?" Madhvi asked him. He replied by saying "You won't believe what I just found out..."

Radhika was lying in bed and reading a book, when Krishna came in with shopping bags. He placed them on the bed. Radhika asked what he had brought. "See for yourself" said Krishna with a grin. She looked inside and saw tons of baby stuff -- clothes, soft toys, rattles and pregnancy related books for expectant parents. "Oh my God...wow!" she said. Then she picked up a small, stuffed teddy bear and said "This is so cute! Did you choose everything by yourself?" "Well, I went shopping with Mom and she helped me select most of these things. But, I chose this toy by myself. And I chose those two pyjaamas in the small bag...I thought they would look perfect on our baby...and I'm sure this book will help you to maintain a proper diet, proper sleeping habits and other stuff that pregnant women need to take care of....and the other book has baby names for boys and girls...we should start thinking of names for our child." said Krishna proudly. Radhika started to laugh. "What's so funny?" he asked. "Nothing...it's just that I'm admiring how eagerly you are awaiting our baby's arrival....even though it is months away...you are all set and ready to be a devoted daddy...I wonder what you'll do when he/she finally gets here!" Krishna smiled and said that he would probably go crazy with happiness when he gets to hold his own child for the first time. Radhika told him that she was waiting as eagerly for the baby as he was. They wondered if it was going to be a boy or a girl.

"What should we do now?" Madhvi asked Yash. He replied that he should first go and tell Vikrant that this Mantra was a fake, and the real one was still in USA. Madhvi said that Vikrant wouldn't believe him. But Yash protested that he would give Vikrant the phone number of real Mantra's father and tell him to dial it. After everyone returned from the wedding, Yash went up to Vikrant's room, but he wasn't there. He looked everywhere for him. Finally he went to the terrace. Vikrant, Akash and Dhanraj were there, talking among themselves. Yash was about to go in to talk, but he stopped when he heard them talking about Radhika and Mantra. Akash was laughing and saying how easily they were able to fool everyone. "I am so pleased with how well Sameer took over Mantra's identity wihtout raising suspisicons." Sameer? Who is he? Yash wondered. Dhanraj added that they had done a pretty good job by hiring Sameer. "That guy should have been an actor. I was afraid someone would discover that he was fake, but he managed to convince everyone that he is Mantra." "Well, almost everyone. Madhvi Chachi was having suspicions about him...good thing she has forgotten about it by now." said Akash.

Yash stood there, looking at them with a horrified expression on his face. He finally began to figure things out. That means...Bauji knows that this Mantra is fake...and BAUJI was the one who hired him! He thought. He went back to his room and told Madhvi what he heard. She got as shocked as he was. They decided to wait until they had gained more proof, before exposing the truth to everyone else. "Why would...why would Bauji do soemthing like this?" Madhvi asked. "I don't know...but I will surely find out as soon as possible." He seemed very angry that his father would play such games with his family.

Two days later, Vikrant called Mantra and said that he was sending one of his men to plant a bomb in Krishna's car. "I've been noticing that Krishna has been going to the office with Krishkant sahay for the past few days...my man will plant a bomb during late night today. You have to go to the Sahay residence tomorrow morning...just before Krishna leaves...just keep Radhika busy and make sure she doesn't sit in that car." Vikrant said. Mantra asked him why was doing this. "You could just get them divorced...maybe by causing misunderstandings between them. Why would you want to kill someone like that?" "Listen...just shut up and do what you are ordered to do. Don't act all innocent and virtuous. You were more than willing to ruin their lives for money. What difference does it make to you if we are killing our son-in-law? You are NOT the one who is killing him. You are just supervising and assisting with the murder!" said Vikrant. He issued some more threats, gave Mantra the timings and details of what he was supposed to do, and hung up.

Mantra thought of calling Radhika, but couldn't decide if that was the best thing to do. Why did I have to get trapped like this? I really, really want the cash...this shouldn't be hard for me...I've always managed to make money using the most illegal ways...but I just can't do this...I've never traded someone's life for money. He thought. He kept having flashbacks of all the times Radhika was nice to him. He remembered her smile when she was telling him about her pregnancy. He remembered how she had defended him to Krishna many times. He remembered how he caused her accident. She trusted me...and was always kind to me...she is a very nice woman...she doesn't deserve to lose her husband just because her family cannot get over their animosity...her child shouldn't have to grow up without a father. He couldn't sleep throughout the night, and kept thinking about what was going to happen tomorrow morning.
