I think this is what happened...
After Vikrant (Radhika's grandfather) saw his son-in-law Samarth with another woman in the elevator, he decided to keep quiet about it. At that time his daughter Rohini was pregnant with Ajay.
When Ajay was born Vikrant gave Samarth a warning...didn't he say something like "You're lucky that you are my best friend's son or else I would have killed you for what you did. Now that you are a parent, I am hoping that you will change your ways and become a better husband and a responsible father."
A couple of years passed and Ajay grew into a 4 or 5 year old boy. That's when I think that Krishna and Radhika were born. At that time no one knew about Samarth's cheating ways except for his father-in-law Vikrant. That's why everyone was so happy and friendly when K&R were being named. Vikrant thought that Samarth would improve so he kept quiet about it and things went well between the two families...so they fixed the wedding of K&R.
I think that a few months AFTER that incident, Rohini saw her husband Samarth with another woman and committed suicide, which lead to Samarth's murder and caused animosity between the two families. If we remember correctly, Ajay was shown to be six years old when all of this happened.
So Krishna and Radhika were born during some time in the middle of the period shown in flashbacks throughout today and yesterday.
