School Closed due to Severe Weather
The school is closed on Friday 8thJanuary due to very heavy snow across the catchment area (currently ranging in depth from 20-40cm) combined with the latest severe weather warning of overnight very hard freeze. A local site inspection found the Emmbrook Road and other local roads untreated and treacherous to drive on. There is deep snow and ice over the entire school site.
Information on school closures is also provided by Heart Fm, BBC Radio Berkshire and Reading 107 Radio Stations.
We will make every effort to open on Monday for teaching.
We WILL be open on Monday as an examination centre for those students taking public exams (see below).
