Aah finally I am commenting.
So sorry for keeping you wait so long..

I was actually blown when I read this. I am still sorry for not replying earlier. ..

The deadly hot starting 🤢 One 🤢 is less..
It should be 🤢 🤢 🤢

So Yash was mesmerised just in first look but I think he had no other option than this. Who can handle the heat like that.. 😆

Aarti is really so innocent.. she really didn't understand that someone was staring at her? 😲 I wonder what she would do if she understood.

The horrible Prashant never disappointe with his bustard nature. Such a dog he is.. no words, and I dont want to spoil my mood thinking and talking about him.

And then the landlord, not lack of Wolf at all. He need one treatment by Yash. (I was about to reveal the suspense 😆)

Well the separation was much necessary to bring this awaiting soul closer.. and more closer. And more and more closer..

And you had to stop at such place.???😡😡

Get on the working.. I want it sooon. 😡

Great and hot job Honey-Bee 👏⭐️😳

Chapter 3

Immediately his expression changed. He released his hold on her.

"Aarti ..." he moved away from her.

"What is it Yash?'

"What you just said ..."

"That I love you. I do. I love you. More than anyone or anything in the world"

"Please stop saying that."

"Why? I don't expect you to say it back. I just want you to know how I feel."

"I think you are confused."

"Why do you say that?"

"So much has happened in your life in such a short span of time. Your arranged marriage and how that ended up. Then living in a slum, having to work as a cleaner to survive and then getting attacked again. Your illness and now this, I think you are just overwhelmed."

"Are you saying I don't know how I feel?"

"I am just saying you are perhaps confusing gratitude and maybe physical attraction with love."

Aarti was floored. She was so much in love with him and ready to give him everything. The only thing she had to give and he was telling her this. It felt like someone punched her in the stomach. She moved back and held onto the back of the couch as she could barely stand.

He came and reached out to her. She moved out of his reach.

"No.

"Aarti, please"

"No, Mr. Scindiya. Of all the hurt I have suffered at the hands of men, this is the worst."

"I didn't mean to hurt you but ..."

"I should have known better. You rich people think differently. But let me tell you something. Just because I have nothing doesn't mean I can't feel anything. Or that I don't know how I feel. But you think that just because you gave me things and did things for me that I feel this way. And what we were about to do? Did you think that was also my gratitude? Pay back so to speak. What does that make me in your eyes? No more than just a prostitute?"

"Don't say that."

"Why not. It's true. I have never been so humiliated in my life."

"That is not my intention. I just don't think you can think clearly now. Love is such a strong word."

"So what do you feel for me? What were we about to do tonight? What would that have meant to you?"

"We are both adults. There is nothing wrong with physical intimacy between consenting adults."

"I see."

"What do you see?"

"I thought that there was something special between us. I thought that you might feel the same way I do. But clearly I was mistaken. Mr. Scindiya, it seems our values are different. I believe that kind of intimacy is reserved for a committed relationship. A relationship of love and respect. It seems there was some miscommunication. I think I should leave. I will pay you back for everything you have done for me as soon as I can."

"Where are you going this time of the night?"

"I don't know. But you don't need to worry I will be ok. I always manage to find my way. I don't need you to be pretend to care for me."

"You can't leave now. At least wait till tomorrow."

She sighed.

"Fine. I will leave first thing in the morning. Good night sir."

She left him there and went to his room. She closed the door and stood against it. She heard his footsteps and he stopped at the door. She waited. Hoping, praying. But then she heard his footsteps again and it faded away till she heard to the door to the guest room close. She walked to the bed and threw herself on the bed and started sobbing. Her heart was in shreds. She had endured so much. Her parents dying when she was 5, growing up in an orphanage, and the latest events with Prashant and her landlord. But right this moment was the worst she had ever felt. The pain was unbearable. She was tempted to go to him and be with him the way they had intended. But what then. What happens in the morning when the reality of the situation set in? No, it would only postpone the inevitable.

Not only was she heart broken, she felt like a fool. How could she possibly have thought that there could be anything besides a professional relationship between them? He was so out of her league. He was wealthy and sophisticated and sexier than sin. She was an orphan girl that struggled with the dictates of social decorum. She was probably not half as pretty as the girls he had dated, and he was clearly experienced sexually. She was not as suave and sophisticated either. She was simply too busy to eke out a living to consider what the latest trends were. So she settled for comfort. She had traditional wear but preferred western dress and when she was on her own, she preferred shorts and short dresses. Not haute couture like that Ishita woman wore. No, there was no common ground. Better to end it now than wait and be hurt even more.

Despite her circumstances Aarti had always considered herself blessed. Her parents were madly in love and got married when they were very young. He mother lost both her parents in a car accident soon after the marriage. The couple soon learnt that they were to have their first baby, and they were so excited. Her paternal grandparents were not happy about her gender but her parents were too happy to be bothered with that. Her father was an officer in the Bhopal police force. When she was 5 years old, he died in the line of duty. Her mother was very distraught. One day she was so deep in thought that she walked into the road, and was fatally injured in a car accident. Her grandparents did not want to take care of her and sent her to an orphanage, not even bothering to think to find out from other family members on either side of they would adopt her.

The first day at the orphanage she was very distraught, but a new lady had started that day. Shoba Singh. She had also lost her husband and daughter in a fatal car accident. They immediately gravitated to each other. It was Shoba-ma that propelled her to do her best and get the best out of life. She was often used by people to show philanthropy. But she accepted it as blessing. But in this instance she did not want that. She wanted him to love her, only her, exactly as she was. Not a charity case and not only an object of sexual desire.

She cried the whole night. As soon as she the sun came out, she packed her things. She came out of the room, she looked at the closed door where he was sleeping, and she wiped the tears once again from her swollen and red eyes. She went to get her documents where she left it the night before. With her head bent in defeat she got into the lift. She lifted her head and there he stood, looking at her. She saw pain in his eyes. One word or any slight gesture from him and she would have stayed, but there was none. So she knew she was doing the right thing. Finally her blessings had run out.

He couldn't resist the last glimpse of her. He too hadn't slept. How could he? He had nearly given in to his desire to follow her into his bedroom the night before. He stood at the door for the longest time. His heart longing to be with her on the other side. But he managed at that last moment to stick to his resolve and he walked away with a heavy heart. Every step feeling like he had lead in his feet. He heard her heart wrenching sobs throughout the night. Not only heard it, but felt it to the very core of him. So many times he was tempted to go to her and take her in his arms. To tell her that he loved her too. But he just couldn't. He knew she must be confused. This was all new to her. The sensual pleasure of their bodies touching, their kisses and the anticipation of what was to come. He had rescued her, nursed her back to health, bought clothes for, got her papers back and given her well-paying job. Of course what she felt for him was merely gratitude. What else could it be?

She was young and beautiful. At 23 she was 6 years his junior. Despite her circumstances she had a wonderful attitude. She was positive, intelligent and so cheeky. He loved her spirit, her tenacity and even her work ethic. She tackled every task she was given with passion and made a success of everything she touched. She would definitely go far in life and he didn't want to hamper her. He could take her now, while she believed she loved him, but what if she woke up one day years from now and discover that it wasn't really love. What then. What would he do then? He would die. Already now, the knowledge that he was losing her was unbearable. It felt like his heart was being yanked out of his body.

Yes, he was born into money but that did make him any less driven. He took after his father. He always strove to do his best, to succeed. And as far as he can remember, he knew he wanted to be part of the Scindiya Empire. At an early age he had ideas to extend the business. He didn't want to study, he wanted to start working immediately, but his father would not allow that. So he completed his degree and did post-grad studies part-time, while working at SE full time. His father had always known his capabilities and used it to capacity. They had a good working relationship. His elder brother understood his role in the company and did not begrudge him that. Pankaj was the company's financial director. He was a finance whizz, but he did not possess Yash's skill and vision to run the company.

Right now he wished that everything was like running the company. Those decisions were easy to make. He would gather information and make a decision based on that. He was trying to do that now too but it didn't feel right. For the first time in his life he felt unsure. For the first time he was doubting his decision. His head told him he was making the right decision but his heart ... his heart wanted to run after her and beg her to stay with him forever. He would marry her today if he could. But he had to let her go. For her own happiness.

He stood watching as the lift door closed. He wanted to pull her out of the lift. Hold on to her and not let her leave. But would that not make him the same as Prashant. He would keep her there against her will only this time she might not realise till it was too late. He wanted to give her everything but in order to do that he had to let her go. What was that saying? If you love someone set them free. His life had been reduced to a clich and he was helpless to do anything about it.

He sat down at the dining room table, put his hand through his hair and the tears that he had kept at bay for the whole night finally poured out.

************

Aarti was standing at the bar, waiting to order a cocktail. She knew she wouldn't enjoy this. But she was sick of sitting at home and pining for him. It was 3 years and she still missed him, she still loved him. Tonight she had agreed to come to the club/pub with her crazy roommate Mansi. She always asked her to go out with them and she always refused. She had finally decided that she was going to do something different. She was going to go out there again, meet new people and maybe she could forget about him.

She was just about to order when she was embraced tightly. She looked up and into the arms of a strange and very handsome man. She was about to give him a piece of her mind when he said.

"Please. I need your help. Please play along with me. I am trying to make someone jealous. Please" The last please was softer and even more desperate than the others.

She looked at him for a while and something about was sincere, honest. She nodded her head.

"Can I hug you?

She nodded again. He hugged her and her eyes searched the crowd and met the eyes of a very beautiful young lady that was staring at them with sad eyes. She knew that was the girl he tried to get jealous.

"Can we dance?

She nodded again. She actually enjoyed dancing with him. He was a good dancer. After the dance they went outside and stood on the balcony to cool down

"Would you like something to drink?

"I was about to get a drink but I'd rather hear your story."

He smiled.

"By the way, my name is Amaan Sharma."

"Oh yes, my name is Aarti Dubey."

The shook hands.

"So your story."

"Oh it's nothing new. I was have been best friends with this girl since high school. And now that her marriage has been arranged and I risk losing her, I have realised that I am hopelessly in love with her."

"And how does she feel about you?"

"I know that she loves me. But she denies it. She says that I am acting out as I feel that our friendship is threatened and that is why I think I am feeling like this"

.

"Could she be right?"

"She could but she's not.

"And how can you be sure she love you back?"

"Because I just know. I know that we are meant for each other. I could not love her this much if we were not meant to be together. But her parents found this rich guy for her. And she is just going along with it."

"Why are you pretending that you have someone else then?"

"In a moment of anger and stupidity I told her that I am not waiting for her anymore and that I met someone else. Love at first and all that."

"Yes, I agree. That was not very clever."

He smiled and shrugged his shoulders.

"Introduce me to her"

"Ok let's go." he replied.

They made their way through the throngs to the table where the lone figure was sipping a cocktail.

"Arpi, this is the lady I told you about. Aarti"

.

The ladies smiled at each other and shook hands.

"Nice to meet you. The both said."

"Aarti, would you like that drink now?"

"Yes, please. I virgin Strawberry daiquiri."

Amaan went off.

"You are very lucky. He is a great guy." Arpita said.

"Yes, we haven't known each long, but I immediately knew that about him."

"Where did you meet?"

"Actually, at this very place. Why are you here alone?"

"My fianc is on his way.

"So this fianc of yours is he as great as Amaan."

"He is very nice and very handsome"

"Do you love him?"

"It is an arranged marriage. I am sure I will grow to love him"
.

"And how do you feel about Amaan. I know he said you are only friends. I just want to make sure that I am not treading on toes."

"No, yes. Just friends. Oh here he comes." She looked past Aarti at someone coming.

Amaan came back at the same time with their drinks and she was distracted by that.

"Aarti, let me introduce you to my fianc.

She turned and nearly fainted at who she saw. They stared at each other.

"Aarti, it's been a while."

"Do you know each other?" Amaan asked.

"Yes, I used to work for Mr. Scindiya." Aarti said having finally gotten her senses back.

"Oh, that's interesting." Said Amaan. "Sorry, I didn't get a drink for you"

"No worries Yash said. The men sat down.

There was an awkward silence.

"So what kind of employee was my love?" Asked Amaan.

"She was a very good employee."

"Then why did you let her go."

"Because I had to"' he said looking at Aarti.

"I came back to Bhopal. Mumbai was too much for me. Too many things happened."Aarti interjected.

"So what have you been up to in the last 3 years?

"I got my old job back. And I found an apartment. Well I share it with a friend. And that's about it."

"And now she has me." said Amaan.

She had almost forgotten about Amaan.

"Anyway it's late. I have to go. Nice meeting you Arpita. Good seeing you again Mr. Scindiya. Amaan ... "She smiled at him.

"Yes, let's go" Amaan said.

They left together.

"I will give you lift home, I promised I am not a predator. And I want to discuss something with you."

"Ok. Let me just send my roommate a text to say that I am leaving the club with a complete stranger. You know just in case." she smiled.

"Text away."

He had a very nice vehicle, he seemed very affluent as well, however, not many people are as rich as the Scindiyas.

"So what did you want to discuss?" Aarti asked.

"You and my Arpita's fianc."

"What?"

"There were definite vibes between the two of you. I'm guessing he was more than just your boss."

"N ... no"

"You are in love with him aren't you?"

"No."

"Aarti, be honest. Then we can each help the other get the people we are meant to be with."

"What does it matter if the other person does not feel the same?"

"Aarti, the way he looked at you, a blind man could see that he has feelings for you."

"I thought so too once but I was wrong."

"Well I love Arpita. I want her to marry me. And marrying him would be a mistake. Help me get her back, please Aarti. Help me get the woman I love and I guarantee you will have the man that you love too."

"Amaan, I can see that you love her very much. And I can also see that she is not indifferent to you, so I will help you, but I am way out of Mr. Scindiya's league. There is no future for us."

"Yet you want to see him again, don't you?"

She just bent her head.

"I will help you Amaan." is all she said.

The concocted a plan to go on a double date to make Arpita jealous. Aarti was listening but not listening. Her world was spinning around again since he had come into it again. Nothing had changed for her. And it was so painful being with him but not being with him. But she couldn't let the opportunity to see him again pass by.

Yash sat trying to look at her without anyone noticing. It took every ounce of his willpower not to touch her, not to pick her up and carry out of the restaurant and demanding that she leaves Amaan and be with him.

When Amaan phoned him the previous day to arrange the double date he didn't even think twice. Only after agreeing he considered that he should have first asked Arpita. It was the longest day of his life till he saw her again. They were there before he arrived with Arpita. He automatically went to sit next to her.

He had finally decided to move on with his life. His mother had been pressurising him to get married. He knew he would never love anyone else so he decided to settle. The only time he heard from her in the last 3 years was when Kunal had told him that she had enquired about a bank account for her to make a deposit into. She wanted to pay him back. That day he had lost it with Kunal. He shouted at him and told him to tell that he didn't need her money and that she can give it away to charity if she wanted to give money away. And then he chased him out of his office. He had apologised later luckily Kunal knew what brought on this reaction. He was the only one that knew. And just now that he had made this decision, she appeared back in his life and that with another man. He needed to see her alone. He needed to speak to her alone.

It seemed no one at the table was very hungry. Amaan was the only one that kept the conversation going. If he didn't know better he could swear that Arpita was agitated. But surely he was mistaken, besides he was too wrapped up in Aarti anyway.

Finally Arpita excused herself to powder her nose. Shortly after Prashant said her had to make an urgent business call. Aarti looked anywhere but at him. They were seated at a secluded spot in the restaurant and the lights were very dim.

Aarti was so nervous to be alone with him. She tried not to look at him or engage in any conversation with him. Then she was startled by his hand on her thigh, his fingers moving against her inner thigh. She grabbed his hand to stop it from reaching its target. She tried to get it off her but she didn't want to struggle too much and draw attention. So his hand remained."

"Yash" she gasped.

"What?"

"Stop it. You are here with your fiance."

"I want to see you later."

"No, you are engaged."

"I want to see you later."

She was beside herself. She didn't know how to respond. Then she had an idea. She would give him some of his own medicine.

She put her hand on his thigh as well and started to do the same as he did to her.

"Aarti, you don't want to do that." He said as he held on to her hand.

"Why. You did it to me."

He took her hand and brought it to his crotch making her realise her mistake.

"This is why." he said as she discovered his erection.

"Yash, please." she groaned.

"Amaan and Arpita are on their way back. You don't have much time left. Will you see me later?"

"Yes, just please let me go." she begged.

He took out a business card and said,

"Text me your address."

"Fine" she said angrily.

They didn't stay long after everyone pretended to have dessert.

"So what happened between you and Arpita when you disappeared to "make your call?"

"Another argument." he said with so much disappointment.

"Is she believing our in love act?"

"I told her the truth. I can't stand the distance between us."

"Good."

"And you and Yash."

"Nothing much."

"Aarti ..."

"Fine, he is coming to talk to me later."

"Do you want me to stay with you?"

"No, I'll be fine."

"What a pair we make, huh. I tell you what, if those two do get married, then I think we should get married."

"Deal." said Aarti and they laughed.

An hour later Aarti heard the anticipated knock on the door. She went to open it and let him. For a moment they just stared at each other, neither knowing what tomorrow would bring, just knowing that they are together now. He came closer and grabbed her to him and kissed her senselessly.

"Your room?"

She pointed and he took her by the hand and led her there. He closed the door and they started kissing. His hand around her waist and hers around his neck. He bent down and started kissing and nibbling at her neck. She pulled his shirt out of his pants and started unbuttoning it. Soon her hands were rubbing at his hard chest, loving the feel of him. She was wearing a straight cut collarless shirt dress that hung mid-thigh. He unzipped the dress at the back and moved it off the one shoulder. Kissing her shoulder as he moved the fabric. He was driving her crazy with his torturous mouth and tongue. He was about to do the same on the other side when the bedroom door was flung open. He swung around to look who it was. Aarti already knew.

"Aarti ... oh, so sorry. I didn't know you had company."

"Mansi, when did you get home?" she said breathlessly.

"Just now, but I am on my way out again. Who is the hunk?" she said, her eyes devouring Yash's naked torso.

"His name is Yash Scindiya."

"Where do you find them Aarti, first that delectable Amaan and now this delicious specimen." she walked closer he hand reaching out to touch Yash's chest."

Aarti slapped her hand and went to stand in front of Yash.

"Manu, you came in here for something. What was it? "she frowned.

"Oh, yes. I need your grey jacket. It will go beautifully with my outfit."

"In my wardrobe."

She went, still giving Yash come hither glances as she took the jacket out and walked to the door and stopped there.

"Manu, don't you have somewhere to be."

"Yes. Good bye gorgeous" she said to Yash and left."

Aarti moved away from him and went for her nightgown and tied it as tight as she could."

"Please make yourself decent." she said.

"I did not do this to myself."

She gave him an angry look.

"Saved by the roommate, hey Aarti."

"Why have you come Yash? You are practically engaged."

"I don't know. I just had to see you."

"We can't do this Yash. It's not right."

"Does he make you feel like this" he said slowly advancing on her.

"Stop it Yash. I told you before, I don't do casual sex. Please leave."

"I don't want casual sex. I want you now and forever."

"You have Arpita."

"I will break the engagement."

"Why?"

"For you."

"Why?"

"I love you."

She stared at him shocked. She shook her head and went to sit on the bed.

"No Yash. There was a time that I wanted to hear that, but you hurt me too much. I don't trust you anymore."

"Do you love Amaan?"

"I don't want to discuss my relationship with Amaan with you."

"Aarti, you don't have to say anything to me. I know already. You said it with your body, with your eyes and even with what you are not saying. I should not have let you go then, I realise that now. But now, I will never let you go again."

He started buttoning his shirt and put his jacket back on.

He bent down and kissed her softly.

"See you soon my love."

Aarti was making her way to the table where Arpita was waiting for her. She had called her and invited her to lunch.

They hugged and sat down.

"How are you Aarti"

"Ok and you?"

"Confused."

"Why"

"I think you know."

"Exactly, so why are you confused? How do you feel about Amaan?"

"I am so much in love with him."

"Then why are you with Yash and not Amaan?"

"I'm scared that he is confusing our friendship for romantic love."

"Arpita, don't do that. Do you have any idea how it hurts when the person you love does not believe in your love for them. I know how that feels. It is soul crushing. He loves you Arpita. He really does. This is not a passing infatuation. This is the real thing. And your love for him? Is it not enough to take the risk anyway?"

"I never looked at it like that, Aarti. I suppose I have lots to make up for?'

"Just choose him, that's all you need to do."

"And will you choose your love?"

She looked down.

"I know you are in love with Yash."

"Arpita, that is not the reason I want you to be with Amaan, please believe me."

"Aarti, I know that. I also know that he loves you too."

"How do you know?"

"He told me when he broke the engagement."

Aart looked at her in astonishment.

"He broke off the engagement?'

"Yes."

"And he said he loved me?'

"Yes."

"Oh."

"So are you going to follow your own advice and be with the man you love?"

"It's different."

"How?"

"He is Yash Freaking Scindiya. I am orphan girl that used to be his maid. That can't work. His family won't accept me."

"The Scindiya's are not that superficial Aarti. I am so happy now knowing that Amaan loves me. The only thing that can make me happier is if you give Yash a chance."

"I haven't even heard from him in a week,"

"You will. I will make a bet with you."

"What?'

"If I win, we get engaged and married together. If you win, I will give you Amaan."

Aarti laughed.

"You are that sure of this?"

"I am."

They spent a pleasant lunch together and lifetime friendship was forged that day.

😡 Oh that landlord, he deserve to be toast or roasted. What a leech. Poor Aarti , lfe is dealing her some bad cards but at least she now have Yash and his concern for her. That's a relief.
So she was cheated by that louse Prashant, what a crooked family. It was about time her luck turn around. At least she didn't let the bad events dampened her spirit.
And distance made the heart grew fonder. 😃. I like Aarti spontaneity when Yash came back, so natural and like the responsible conversation; they are adults and there is no reason not to have a relationship between two consulting adults.
And it seems superman Yash was out in full force😃, at least he tried to get the awful landlord to not mistreat his wife. 😕 , and coward Prashant , no surprise there but what with thes weak women falling for this type of guys, so frustrating. Can't wait for the next part cause it cannot be that easy, right? or can it😉. Great chapter

It was as if you already read my next chapter. Aarti does not feel the same about the consenting adults though.
And no it just is never that easy.

The next chapter will divulge a lot more. It's not 40 pages but what the heck, i posted😆

poor yash got really hard time to control himself seeing aarti naked 😉
yash really took good care of aarti 🤗
finally aarti said what happened to her in past
oh god how badly I want to kill that beast prashant 😡
he is so disgusting jerk ass lied to aarti abt himself & tried to forcefully marry her 😡
I love how aarya bonding 😉
OMG aarya romance was sizzling hot 😳
but yash stop as he didn't want her to get pregnant right now 😉
wow yash went to beat those ass hole 🤗
but I feel disgust with that landlord wife & that priya they completely useless with no self respect
yash got aarti's document from that jerk prashant 😃
wow aarti confess her love to yash now what he gonna say?
continue plz

Regrettably what Yash says is not what she wanted to hear. Although he does love her and realised it when she was in danger he was being a tubelight again.
Regrettably men like the landlord and Prashant are predators that seek out the meek that they can easily overpower.
But Aarti was not one of them and the events of her past makes her stronger as you will see in the next chapter.
Thanks for the comment😃
