This OS follows the Aayu kidnapping track. My heart bled for Aarti when she lost her son and Yash reverted that ogre person again. By that time she has proven her love and support for that family over and over again but still no one but Rhada supported her. Even someone with such a big heart can sometimes give up after being hurt so many times.
PV OS - Yearnings of an empty heart
She couldn't believe they were back there. Back to the cold angry Yash. The one that pushed and humiliated her. Especially now that she needed him so much. Now that they both needed each other.
She lost her baby due to her own carelessness and now she was losing the man she loves because of that. She thought back his reaction to when she wanted to feed him. Slapping the food out of her hand. All she wanted to do was to make sure he was ok. That was all that she ever wanted. For him to be happy. It was out of concern for him that she rushed out the house with Aayu when she got the call that he was in an accident. In that moment her whole world came crashing down. She could not lose him. She was in such a state she had forgotten her cell phone. All she wanted to do was to save her husband.
But there was no accident. Instead her baby was kidnapped. The symbol of their love. It was clearly a whole set up. But he wouldn't believe her. No one believed her. Everyone thought that she was irresponsible and impulsive. Thank God for Rhada ma. She loved G3 but in this situation she would not have supported her like Rhada ma. She was the only one that stood by her. Encouraged her. But why? Why would they think she would lie about the call? About the accident. She would have thought that they knew her better. Yes she lied about being a widow but that was the only thing that she was guilty of. She was not a liar.
She saw the look on their faces when she wanted to go after the kidnappers that night. They were thinking that she was losing her mind. And maybe she was. Did they know what it was like to lose a child? No they didn't but they stood in judgement of her. And Ihsita would not shut up. Why would Yahji listen to her and not to his wife? She fully intended to find her child on her own but he had stopped her. He had dragged her back inside the house like she was an errant child.
That one night, she saw him soften he looked at her as if he wanted to hold her and comfort her. She wanted that so much. She craved that when she missed her little baby so much. He must know what she was going through. But she eventually turned her back, she had obviously read him wrong. He was never going to forgive her. What if Aayu was never found? What would happen to their marriage?
It's been a month, she still did not have her baby back and neither did she have her husband. Paridhi had brought home their baby boy and she was happy for them. But that did not heal her mother's heart. She was sinking into depression. She tried her best for her kids. Forced smiles for her family. They had thought that this new baby could replace Aayu in her heart.
Never. She wanted her son. She wanted to hold him, cuddle him. How could she forget him? Her love was not conditional on his presence. Her love was forever. Not like the love of her husband. He had abandoned her. He was there physically but in every other way he was not there for her. Once again his feelings and his pain took precedence. She thought he loved her. She thought that he would stand by in any situation. Clearly she had been wrong.
She always got it so wrong. She gave her love to Prashant and he through it back in her face. She fell hopelessly in love with Yashji and now he was pushing her out of his life. Maybe she loved to easily. Maybe they sensed he desperate need to be loved. So they think that she is just a walk over. She was tired. She didn't want to do this anymore. Love wasn't enough. This love that she received from Yash was not worth it. She wasn't going to fight for him anymore. Besides he didn't trust her. And love without trust is nothing. She was glad he was going to Mumbai. It was easier that way. She would stay behind. She would find her Aayu and would be have the unconditional of her son. Of her children.
She looked at the pictures on the wall that once made her so happy. The ones that she thought proved his love for her. She moved forward and touched his face on the portrait of the two of them together. Tears flowing down her cheeks. She didn't cry because she felt pain. She cried because she felt nothing. She was empty. Yash Scindiya no longer occupied a space in her heart. It was over.
They were packing for Mumbai. She was packing for home. Ma Bauji was still on pilgrimage and she would stay there for a while till she found a place of her own. A home for her and her children.
He came into the room and asked "Are you ready, Aartji"
Yes, she was ready. Her whole life prepared her for this moment. She was ready to walk out of his home and out of his life, forever.
