The separation was too long.
The worst was when they lost their baby and they didn't allow themselves to grieve together. Heart-breaking! More especially since they loved each other but due to pure stubbornness and wrong perceptions, they stayed away from each other. He was even there in the hospital and he wanted her in his room but emotionally he remained aloof. Not even able to look at her.But I think Aarti overreacted by leaving and staying away so long. She expected him to come and get her back when she made it clear that she wanted her space. I can understand her guilt about the loss of the baby because is she didn't leave him, or didn't rush to work she would still have the baby. Those feelings are normal in such a situation even though no one is to blame. They should have just reached out to each other then, instead of let the pain linger.
At last she the sense to call him out about his destructive behaviour and finally they connected again. And he didn't even have to say anything. I hope they are finally able to talk and take comfort in each other seeing as they love each other so much.
