OMG so true! 😆 We won't ever learn, would we? We would be just as drawn to them then as we are now and when the cycle repeats itself, all of us would find ourselves in a similar situation, once again. But that is if God decides to be so merciful. 😛
I don't think we'll ever learn, my friend, and I blame them completely for it.

They're a habit I don't think I'll be able to completely break, lol. But, yes, that's certainly something the future and God's intervention will have to take care of. We'll see.
As for Kratika's reply and our reactions, I felt pretty much the same. I was going to sleep when I read her reply and I don't know why, it was only then that I had tears in my eyes. I didn't feel as sad when I had read her first tweet. I totally agree with you. While we all know that a show has to end one day, it's more heart-breaking right now because we (and probably the cast+makers) know that this wasn't meant to happen now. It's the time that is making us feel more heart-broken.
That was the first time I cried too, Anu. I was doing well until I read that. On the blue, that's exactly it. It's not that we expected the show to go on longer than 2 years or indefinitely, but I think it's the unexpected immediacy of the closure. We didn't expect it so soon, and I get the feeling they didn't expect it so soon either. So there's a feel of arrested development because there is so much more we could feel and even foresee to be told. That's why I sense that this ending may have a sharper edge to it. But, all in all, I think we'll be able to forge on as fans, and we know that Gurmeet and Kratika will rebound and do great wherever they go.
Oh gosh, that Prashant fiasco. The lesser said about that, the better. Somehow, new entrants hardly ever worked for our show. It was the original cast that the audience could and would always be able to relate better to.
True story on new entrants. In retrospect, they very rarely worked. The only new entrants that were successful were cameos who were short-term and served to deepen Yash and Aarti's love story, which kept Yash and Aarti as the focus and fully in play. But when new characters were brought for longer arcs and more airtime began shifting to them, it ultimately felt flat. TRP viewers made it known that they weren't interested. Added to that, Prashant was probably brought in too early and too inconsistently. I think if the divorce deception/custody arc was handled this year instead of last year, then we would have not have had Akash and Ishita on the show at all. We would have had no real need for them. But, it is what it is and we're in such a position now that ZeeTV is leaning so heavily on the Mittals to gimmick up the story. So I give the Mittals major props for trying to avert the gimmicky route and salvage Yash-Aarti's love story. All we have to hope for now is that the current albatross and her husband get an early send-off so that they can tighten Yash and Aarti's story for the transition.
