I loved the episode for many reasons today, the first of them being a confirmation of what i have always believed Akaash to be! I had previously stated in the DC that in all probabilities Akash knew the incident of the pub, and today, it was proved to be true. Akaash's friends very clearly mentioned that "aarti was doing nautanki in the pub that night". Now, even if I assume that Akaash still is in the dark about the actual attempt to rape, he does know that something happened between aarti and his friends due to which Yash lost his cool! Only someone as dumb and evil as Akaash would choose not to understand what that might be. He knew Aarti and Yash- right? He should have realized Aarti was not the one to do "nautanki in a pub"!
Now, back to today's epi- I know there was a scene in which Akaash's friends showed the eagerness to do the same with Vedika as they had done with Aarti, and Akaash stopped them. However, would I place that point in his favour? No! Yes, he stopped his friends from teasing a young girl ( forget that young girl was his niece), but there was no anger on his face...and he told them that "shabab" was there in his part of the celebrations too, which makes me wonder if he actually bothered about his friends eyeing Vedika or if he was just concerned that they would go to Yash's part of the house!
Now, about the second half of the episode- I guess Akaash's actions speak for themselves! No matter what SP has done, he is after all an aged man, and no 'man' tries to beat up an aged man with a stick! The fact that he was drunk is obviously not an excuse here!
Finally, I would say "Well done" to radha...however, I would have preferred if she had taken the trouble to talk to Akaash in previous episodes.however, going by what happened about the Pub incident, I am keen on assuming that she tried to, but it didn't work out!
Moral of the story- At least for me, Akaash is beyond redemption right now! He did not even spare the kids! He was about to beat them as well! He cannot be defended because he was drunk...in that case.I would say "who told him to get drunk so much, and which civilized man does that?" . I don't know if I can ever forgive him..may be if he really really repents big big time! I don't see that happening anytime soon though!
P.S: Today Yash did what many wanted him to do. He did not confront Akaash. He realized he was drunk, and stopped his brothers as well. And when he almost ahd lost his cool, he even listened to SP and did not raise his hand. He did not lose his cool like the pub incident ( which was totally justified btw). He handled Akaash in a different way. However, the end result was the same, which throws light on Akaash's character even more.
I hope we get to see Yash beating him into a pulp soon- sorry if i sound sadistic! But he sure deserves it!
