He tucked her wet hair behind her ear and leaned forward to kiss her.
Aarti turned her face away from him and his lips brushed her cheek. That simple movement caused her to tremble. Taking it as a positive sign, he held her waist and rolled her onto the bed, pinning her down with his body. He looked at her innocent face and was even more drawn towards her. Suddenly the urge to get her out of that sari was way too strong. He gently took her hand in his and rubbed it soothingly. He wanted to tell her what he couldn't tell her all those years ago, he wanted to whisper all the secrets he hid from her in her ear, but the moment was not meant for talking.
He took his free hand and placed it on her shoulder, looking for any sign of retreat. He was glad to see that she seemed to want it just as much as he did. He moved his hand down her arms and saw her react positively. He went closer to her and kissed her forehead, her eyes, her cheek, and then, when he couldn't stop himself any longer, he grazed her lips with his, giving her an opportunity to stop him once again. But she didn't stop him. Instead, her arms circled his back and pulled him closer to her. He picked her up and sat her on his lap. They were both reminded of their university days, and suddenly they could feel that same longing, the same spark they felt for each other back then. Their hearts started to beat faster against each other's chest as they tried to get as close to each other as possible. She opened her mouth, inviting him for a passionate kiss and he gladly accepted her invitation and kissed her soulfully, as she wrapped her legs around his waist. She pushed him down on the bed and kissed him again, feeling both relaxed and safe in his arms. It felt like her body was meant to fit in his so perfectly.
Yash was in a state of ecstasy as he squeezed her hips, drawing her body closer to his. Heat radiated between them, causing their faces to flush. Her hair slid down onto his face, leaving trails of water as evidence. Her hair smelled like strawberries. He inhaled deeply, feeling himself going crazy in her presence. It was like she was an addicting drug, slowly intoxicating his senses, making him want her more and more. She slowly wiped the water from his cheek with her thumb and then kissed it softly. He gently moved his hand down her waist to her thighs in one motion. His other hand cupped her bare waist, and then slid around her bare back, causing her to gasp. She pulled out his shirt from his jeans and ran her hands up his abs, making it hard for him to breathe. She quickly unbuttoned his shirt and pulled it off him. Her breath caught in her throat as she realized where this was heading. But before she could think it over again, Yash placed a firm hand at the place her sari was tucked in. He slowly removed the sari from the petticoat, and she sat up on his crotch nervously. Then realizing where she was sitting, she blushed and was about to roll off him, when he grabbed her arm. One look at him and she knew how turned on he was. She bent down and caught his lips with hers once again, feeling blissful.
The heat between their bodies had intensified ten times and their heavy breathing was all that could be heard in the room. He rolled her over and started to kiss her neck and her shoulder. Then he trailed kisses along her collarbone, causing her shiver with pleasure. In one swift movement, he removed the sari from her body and untied her blouse. He turned her over on the bed as her eyes squeezed shut. She longed for him to be closer to her, to close this gap between them that they had constructed years ago. His lips moved down her back, kissing every inch of it.
Suddenly she couldn't take it anymore. She turned around and took a fistful of his hair in one of her hands, and brought his face down to hers. She let his lips capture hers in the perfect kiss. He opened his mouth, allowing her to taste the heat in there. She ran her hands down his back, pressing his body to hers. Feeling how aroused he was, she removed his belt and unzipped his jeans. He breathed out a sigh of relief, causing her to smile.
He buried his face in her wet hair, trying to cool himself down, but it was impossible. Her wet hair wasn't cold enough to cool down his senses. He couldn't stop himself now. Not any force in the world would stop him from going all the way.
It was as if he jinxed it for himself.
He accidentally looked up to see Arpita's picture staring at him from the wall, and he jumped off Aarti and zipped his jeans back up. Aarti shot up from the bed too, and felt around for her sari. He looked away from her, shocked at what happened as she quickly put it back on. His heart hammered inside his chest. How could he do this? It hadn't even been a few days since his wife passed away and he was doing this with another woman? How low could he stoop? He was a cheater. He went around giving Prashant lectures, but he himself couldn't be faithful. What kind of person was he? He buried his face in his hands and sat on the bed, surprised that he had gone this far.
He hadn't been planning on doing anything tonight, but the sight of Aarti's wet hair clinging to her face had turned him on, and he had momentarily forgotten everything. Why did Aarti do this to him?
"Y - Yash," she squeaked, touching his shoulder with her hand.
He jerked his shoulder away from her.
"Leave me alone," he growled.
Aarti stared at him, her mouth open. One look at her and he felt like kissing that mouth, but he cursed himself even more for the thought. They had crossed their limits already. He had cheated on Arpita. He was a horrible man, he was absolutely dreadful.
"B - but is everything okay?" she asked nervously.
"I said leave me alone!" he yelled again. "Get out. I don't want to see your face!"
He had to keep her away from him because he didn't know if he'd ever be able to keep himself away from her.
He got off the bed and faced the wall, away from her. He punched the wall angrily. She followed him and held his arm comfortingly, causing him to shut his eyes. Why did she have to touch him, and why did he have to react to her touch in this way? Why was he horrible?
He mustered up all his strength. "Didn't I bloody say to leave me alone!" he yelled, pushing her hard.
She tried to stop herself, but she couldn't. Her tummy crashed into the desk in his room with great force and suddenly she yelled in pain. Aarti's eyes widened. No no no no no no no, she begged as her hand held her tummy in pain. Please God no!
She fell down to her knees and closed her eyes, feeling the blood start to pour out from inside her. She felt tears escape her eyes as she whimpered. She knew what was happening. She had done her research when she was married to Prashant, she knew everything associated to pregnancy and having a baby.
"Yash," she whispered as hot tears fell from her eyes. Her vision blurred as she cried, she didn't hide it anymore. She was losing her baby. She was losing him. Suddenly everything around her shattered like broken glass. She couldn't see anything else. She could only hear the heart beat that her baby could have had. She could only feel her baby leaving her, the child that was escaping her in the form of blood.
"Yash," she cried again, needing him right now.
But his back was turned to her. She fell to a heap on the ground, trying to fight the pain. Please God, please don't do this to me, don't do this to my baby.
She closed her eyes and continued to cry out, holding her stomach in pain.
When Yash turned around, his eyes widened and he ran to her. He saw the pool of blood on the ground and he picked up a frail Aarti in his arms as she cried against his chest.
"I lost him," she sobbed. "I lost him..."
She never would have guessed that on the same night she tried to give her baby a life, he would snatch it away from her.
