If you found out that your dad had an affair some years back and even asked the "girl" he had an affair with to abort the child, would you have forgiven your dad readily? Would you respect him a little lesser?

Personally, I think that Prateek, Pankaj and Yash forgave their dad too easily...But this could be due to to difference in culture, level of maturity between myself and them or perphaps different expectation...

Its actually a very complicated question and I m not sure whether to vote here or not .. I will always expect my father to b loyal to my mother and I really dunno what I will do if this kind of situation had arised in my life 😕

Thanks for replying Jyoti!!
Actually I have seen this kinda situation in my life. Somehow my cousins and friends always ended up being angry with their dads initially. They also expected their dads to be faithful to their mothers and cannot accept their dads' indiscretion. And also the bubble of a "perfect family" image is burst and it makes them feel incomplete.
Some of them forgave their dads eventually - somehow time did heal some of the wounds. And perphaps they realised that everyone makes mistakes and has moments of weaknesses. But some are still trying to forgive and are cynical about relationships.
Honestly, I am a little surprise at the way this whole thing is treated in the show cause I thought the implication of an affair by the dad affects the whole family. The respect..the trust...the anger for their mother... But I know the CVs have their own social messages that they wanna put across...😊

@Akui : I expected Pankaj and Pratik to show their anger towards SP as well ... I can understand Yash not showing the anger since he himself is a result of that betrayal which SP did with Gayatri and so Yash in under that guilt but I was expecting Pankaj-Pratik to blow their fuse here 🤔...

I guess it depends from person to person and also family to family ... in Scindia family girls and women r always suppose to compromise ...like Gayatri said we r told that your husband is like God and well God can never make mistakes ... so Gayatri is going by that theory even though she lsot trust on her husband and so her sons too r following same theory 😕
