For Gayatri, it is as though someone has just said a complete stranger is her son. I know it seems like she should have a connection, but that doesn't happen automatically. My personal opinion is that she is too afraid of losing the son she does see as her own, Yash, to think beyond that. You can't really think straight when you are overcome by such a fear and once Gayatri is assured that Yash will always be her son, she may be able to look past that and think about Akash. Right now everyone is talking as though it has to be either or, and Gayatri has a strong emotional connection to and need for Yash, so she is clinging to him at all costs, ignoring all other truths. It's not that she is pushing Akash away, he is just not in her line of vision because she is consumed by the fear of losing her favourite son.

Radha's case is a bit different. She has always known Yash was her biological child, and in fact has ministered the whole situation for his happiness. So that investment has always been there. Also, for some reason, Radha is confident that she will never lose Akash, which I am not sure she should be. She is taking him for granted while keeping Yash's priorities higher and he will notice and react now that he knows the truth.

I think it is an interesting contrast: Gayatri who is afraid of losing Yash and finds that the cost of keeping Yash as her son is to forget about Akash vs. Radha who is over-confident that she can get rights for both her sons and get both their love and respect. I think both of their assumptions are going to be challenged.

Samana, that was so well said. I loved that last para of yours about Radha being over confident. Yup it struck me too. She didn't offer Akash an apology at all. And she is expecting because of her actions both her sons will get the love and respect they deserve. Does she even realize the damage she has done both her sons? Knowing it is a show, they might show both sons accepting her but in real life I wouldn't be surprised if either of the sons turn their backs on her.

As for Gayatri, spot on. And this show has always portrayed that aspect of human emotions so well: fear. How debilitating fear is to someone's psyche. Yash is going through it too, the fear of losing the family he has known for 30 years. Gayatri is going through it too, the fear of losing the son she has loved for 30 years. And in this fear both of them feel they have to reject Akash's presence in their lives. Like you said these assumptions are sure going to be challenged. And Aarti is the first person to challenge these fears and then Akash will too in a more literal sense followed by Yash and Gayatri's own emotions towards their estranged family member.

i think she should have shown more reaction because a big truth came out sky is her own flesh and blood no matter how shock she is and if not at first she should have made an objection when they handed the money to yash.for god sake thats your son they want to get rid off.what ?sp doesnt have feelings for his own, why couldnt anyone of them see that ?

Same thought crossed my mind yesterday when I saw G3 going completely cold on the whole issue of Akash - if that was me I would have reacted positively towards Akash - but what's holding G3 back is SP - he even though she knows has cheated on her and lost her own son to Radha - she has worshipped him near enough God like and let him make all decisions for her - I don't think she is that cold hearted - she is Maa and can never disown her sibling under no circumstances - we have been shown that G3 has loved and nutured Yash from day 1 and last night we saw their relationship was solid and strong inspite of the new englightment that Yash is not her's but Akash is. She sat on that rocking chair she was thinking taking everything in and she may be confused a little bit but was waiting for everybody's reaction - she will react for Akash positively afterall she is his real mother infact Yash and G3 I think will resurrect the relationship with Akash and rest of the family. G3 cannot and is not coldhearted even though it may look so. (MPOV)

I agree with the others that G3 is in a shock and doesn't know how to react to this situation... but then she is all about her scindia parivaar's prestige and bleh bleh.. so she might be acting cold as of now..
