confused trps ?????

The year 2012 gave us a lot of new shows and the list is so long that we will divide it in two posts! So here you go with Part 1

Star Plus:

Arjun – Run Time – August 11, 2012 – Present:

A brooding cop whose mind works out the connections and equations like no one else…the mystery of cases, history of his angry silent man avatar and the love story angle with the lady officer, all this together makes this show an interesting weekend watch.

Well Arjun might be replaced soon by another show but since it is almost on the New Year mark. It is definitely in our list

Ek Veer Ki Ardaas – Run Time – October 29, 2012 – Present:

Cuteness personified – Two words that aptly describe the show and its characters. Veer means elder brother in Punjabi and Ranvijay is being a more than a Veer, almost a mother to Veera his sibling.

The story revolves around the two kids and their relationship, we are hoping the show would run well into next year as well, as the show any day has a chance to take a leap and show the relationship of teen siblings. In hopes that the leap is far far away and we can enjoy the two cute kids, we welcome Veera into the next year.

Kaali – Ek Punar Avatar – Run Time – December 3, 2012 – Present:

A new crime fiction show based on the famous Nitish Katara murder case where a mother fights and gets justice for her son.

It's not just about a mothers who fight for justice, but a woman's struggle to keep her head high and keep believing in her ideologies. The show has replaced one of the most popular shows of Star Plus – Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, obviously the pressure over the show is pretty high. Well what will happen to the show – lots of love or lots of changes depends on the audience, but for sure this show is making its way into next year.

Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan – Run Time – November 12, 2012 – Present:

Silence has always been given credit of being more than it seems whether in terms of strength or conversation…here the title itself defines the speech aspect of silence around.

The story is based on a girl who has not been told the truth up till now, even about her real parents. Although she has figured out some of the truths but there are definitely more layers, silent layers that say a lot to her. All the silence and the secrets are definitely continuing in the next year, to entertain you all.

Pyaar Ka Dard Hai, Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara – Run Time – June 18, 2012 – Present:

It is said that your circumstances, situations and surroundings shapes you and your thoughts and proving this ideology are two people with opposite beliefs. One who had his parents' broken marriage to look upon doesn't believe or understand relationships and on the other hand one is grown in a loving joint family and thus believes on the strength of love and relationships.

The two obviously have landed with each other… firstly as friends and now as life partners, the journey of ideologies, love and relationship is successfully stepping into the bright new light of the New Year.

Zee TV:

Fear Files – Run Time – June 30, 2012 – Present:

The show is focused on the supernatural, paranormal and mysterious events that sometimes take place in people's lives. The show also introduces paranormal who comment on a kind of spirit or paranormal activity in the ending of each episode.

The weekends of this year has definitely been a bit scarier and the happy news is that the scary quotient is joining us in the next year's weekends as well.

Phir Subah Hogi – Run Time – April 17, 2012 – Present:

The shows that are based on women empowerment usually shows that the family sulks when a girl is born, but this particular show tells another tale. The parents and families enjoy on the birth of a girl child because her "sardhakayi" will bring money in the house.

While the lead fights against all this, even now when she has circumstantially fallen into the same pit her attempts to live as a strong headed person has not diminished. Although the story has now converted itself into a plain love triangle we hope that the new brings the original track back into the focus.

Punar Vivah – Run Time – 20th February, 2012 – Present:

The show enjoys the title of being the second most popular show of Zee TV, the first beingPavitra Rishta. It presents tough competition to its competitor show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain which airs on Sony TV at the same time.

The show has become so popular within the year that it is now dubbed in Telugu and broadcasted by Zee Telugu as Punar Vivaaham. It is also dubbed in Tamil and broadcasted by Zee Tamil as Marumanam which is aired from 1st October, 2012.

Hmmm!! Looks like we have got a show that is here to stay in Hindi and other languages as well…all the best for 2013!

Qubool Hai – Run Time – October 29, 2012 – Present:

The show will focus on the Muslim community and aims to dispel stereotypes regarding Islam. The lead protagonist respects her religion and its tradition but also respects her rights and identity, while her lead is against her openness.

Well honestly this can get very risky…everyone is really protective towards their religion and the smallest of mistake can hurt their sentiment, hope this kind of trouble does not crops us for the show in the next year as well (prayers )

Rab Se Sohna Isshq – Run Time – July 16, 2012 – Present:

The filmy story that based its first few weeks in London and its landscapes is enjoying a successful run. Although the funny coincident in the show is that when Sahiba was in love with Ranveer she was married to Daljeet and now when she has fallen for Daljeet she is married to Ranveer. So she will not be in love with the person she is married, is it?

Well funny or not the show is winning hearts and we wish it similar response for the upcoming year…all the best!

Sabke Jeevan Ka Aadhar – Ramayan – Run Time – June 18, 2012 – Present:

Mythological is undoubtedly a re-emerging trend and Zee has taken up the responsibility of promoting it as well…with its Sunday special Ramayan.

Mythological serials usually have a time frame and so does Ramayan, so all we can wish them is a really happy and prosperous run in the New Year.

Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke – Run Time – May 21, 2012 – Present:

It is the story of two cousins, Rachna and Gunjan, who become friends. Rachana is a simple girl, while Gunjan is free spirited & fun-loving. She came from Mumbai to live with Rachana's family after her mother's death. She later falls in love with Mayank. However the couple faces many ups and downs. Their relationship does not last very long due to Mayanks selfish mother who creates misunderstanding between the two. While Rachna who fell in one way love with her hockey coach Rajeev but broke up as Rajeev was not willing, Rachna's parents fixed her alliance with Vihaan Aggarval who is Rajeev's brother. Rachna started to love and care for Vihaan and is happy right now.
