Today's episode can be titled "Shadow Theatre," rife with misunderstandings of all kinds. This technique, where the main characters speak hidden from each other, was first used in ancient Sanskrit plays. Today's scenario is eerily reminiscent of Bhasa's play Svapna-Vasavadatta, written in the first century. The shadow theater technique in that play, unlike PV, led to an unintended happy, meeting between a king and a queen, who were separated for reasons of political expediency. I am happy that the CVs chose this technique to move the plot along. To all those who are perhaps questioning why Yash did not come out and declare his presence, the answer is in the use of the shadow theater. Unless, my prediction is way off, which could be a possibility, I think that after Yash composes himself, he will choose not to reveal what he heard. He will simply go along with life-with-Aratiji-as-usual, while being guarded and withdrawn. Certainly Yash's trust is broken, and he is feeling betrayed and devastated. But this will not deter his sense of duty towards Arati, and his love for her will not allow him to leave her at this stage. In this sense, he will be there, while nursing his grief in private, in true Yash-style. Therefore I think that he will go on as before, but will also play the role of Yashlock Holmes and dig deeper into the story.

The tables are turned. While earlier, Arati had to keep probing into the causes of Yash's anger by reliving each and every incident from the Mumbai trip, now Yash will, after his lie-allergy subsides, also look for reasons for this deceit from his beloved Aratiji, who he had recently declared can do no wrong. What better way to do this other than by concealing what he already knows? In a way, it is also a lesson for Arati later on. When, at a later date, she will discover that Yash kept his knowledge of her past to himself, she will perhaps understand the impact of what Yash went through when she was concealed her truths from him.

Usually Arati and Yash make a great detective team, but this time Yash will have to go at it solo. Perhaps Arati too, wondering why Yash is withdrawn, might direct the spy-glass on the detective, who is in turn testing and researching her motives. That would be interesting.

I have been wondering about Arati's choice of words in her monologue, and why she omitted saying how much she loves Yash, and how his caring for her has healed the gaping wounds that Prashant left in her heart. I think that the impending run-of-the-mill misunderstanding will obviously have its role in moving the plot along, but I do wish that the CVs, having taken recourse to this angle, build it up in an interesting and heartfelt way.

In the precap, we never got to see the fate of the diya that Arati was trying to protect with her hands at the Mother Goddess temple. Perhaps that would yield a clue about the chances of baby Ayu's survival.

wow...this is an awesome take...the prediction that Yash may not reveal what he knows to Aarti is possible but I cannot understand the thought process (if any) on why he would choose to do that.
