I know most of the members here are women and Hindus, tell me whether you support this practice of covering the heads with a Ghunghat (veil)

I do no support this male dominated, bigoted andregressive tradition...I do believe in following the bye-laws and traditions of the culture, but only if the culture ensures that you won't be treated as inferior to the other sex and race...the only thing I hated in this show from day one was this...so please all vote, whatever be your choice :) I'm no feminist,I believe that this is not in tandem with today's milieu and should be gotten rid of

AND THIS IS THE ONLY FLAW IN THE SHOW I HATE FROM DAY ONE

I support it b/c what's wrong in wearing veil.Yeah u should not force someone but if women want to veil then what's wrong in it?
If somewhere there is a tradition then i think so u should do it.

Hey Nice Post!

PV at times really show the male chauvinistic side of the society. We have seen so many times Gayu kneading SP's legs , The ghoonghat thing , Aarti has bowed down so many times to touch Yash's feet ...

Though I have problem with these things Im not sure about the Ghunghat thing because it has been the part of our culture since the very beginning 🤓
But yeah its not really a ghunghat but they are just covering their head so Im cool with it.

I agree...if she chooses to do it, its fine...I won't go and force the woman to stop the practice...
But the root to this tradition is Male Dominance and I'm afraid if this shall ever change if women don't stop choosing it
I can't change anyone's choice at the end of the day...
Thanks for sharing your views...you were the first one to vote and challenge as well :)

i just can't vote for anything coz veiling our heads in front of GOD ...a supreme power is wat we generally do... this is like surrendering to the supreme power...and i support it... but veiling just coz itz tradition... i don't accept... but our scriptures say that our elders are equivelent to GODS... so veiling infront of elders came into existence...🤔

Interesting topic. I support covering the head. But it should not be forced. If someone covers her head on her own will then its fine.
