Drops of perspiration started emerging all over Yash as the words of deception ringed continuously in his ears. "You still love me, your first husband, Aarti and nothing will change that; not even Yash".
"Prashant is her first husband? Why did she lie? Doesn't she trust me? Doesn't she love me?" A mountain of questions started engulfing Yash's mind as his knee gave way prompting him to crumble to the floor. It was just 3 days back when Yash realised his feelings for Aarti and started to build an oasis of his future with her only to have it turn into ash in a matter of seconds. Yash stared at the floor wondering whether the droplets were his tears or blood as he felt a dagger plung deep into his heart. "Such deceit, why my love WHY?" Yash felt the pressure in his body exploded as he screamed and stopped as his lungs cried for air. "I'll confront her and demand for an explanation but my entire being will never forgive her for this treachery" Yash thought to himself but how could he overlook his heart which every beat resides in her. Yash gathered and pull himself up against gravity which now felt like immense task and he finally composed himself, waiting for the moment which will redefine their so-called relationship.
An hour felt like an eternity. Finally Aarti came home but immediately felt something amiss as she saw Yash's grimace. "Why is he looking at me like that? OMG did he just...?" Before Aarti could gather her thoughts, Yash stormed towards her. He gritted his teeth "where were you?". Aarti saw the reflection of her deceit in Yash's eyes and realised that he knew everything. Aarti tried to talk but only air came out. Fear had made her mute and she started crying. Yash's heart wrenched so much upon seeing the pearls that he felt it would burst. "Not this time Yash, She has betrayed you. LIED to you" His thoughts overshadowed his reason of being as he screamed "Stop this nonsense at once. You lied to me. That Prashant is your hus... Such an actress you are that I was deceived. Everything was a lie. His death, our relationship, your love. Why have you done this just when I started immensely loving y.." Yash immediately halted his words just as Aarti looked up in utter disbelief "He loves me and that too immensely. Can this be true?"
Aarti gathered her courage and uttered "Yashji do you actually love me?" At that moment Yash wanted to hold her close, feel her tender skin, drown in an intoxicating kiss which would bring endless passionate nights. He had pictured all this in his mind but it has all shattered. "Who cares what I feel Aarti! You have turned my heart into nothing but a mere stone." Aarti saw a ray of hope and she started explaining " Yashji I know my mistakes..." she continued but as she did Yash felt his blood rising and his veins popping the moment he heard "I had to let Prashant use Ansh's bone marrow to save him. Ma and bauji..." Yash grabbed her by her arms before she could finish. "How dare you do this to me? Ansh is my son. Where did you get the nerve to do all this behind my back?" Aarti tried to say something but Yash lashed-out "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. This relationship is pointless. I want it to END". While saying this, his hands involuntarily pushed her aside. Before he could fathom what he just did, he heard a loud thud and his heart sank as he saw Aarti on the floor clenching her abdomen. Yash who was rooted to his spot immediately rushed to Aarti's side as she slipped out of consciousness. "Aartiji please open your eyes. I'm so sorry aarti. I didn't mean to". Yash picked her up like a feather but as he did he saw a small pool of blood. Fearing the worst he tightly closed his eyes and cursed himself "what have I done?" He rushed to the nearest hospital while repeating and begging her to open her eyes and to forgive him. "I love you Aarti. You are my life, my everything. Please don't leave me. I'd die without you" were his last words before aarti was reeled to the operation theatre.
As Yash paced up and down the waiting area, he was shocked by the sight in front of him. "Prashant?? What is this low life doing hear" Yash raced towards Prashant and held him by the collar. "You have no rights to be here. Get out of my sight before I break your neck. You're the reason my Aarti is in this sit..." Before Yash could finish, Prashant broke free from his grasp and challenged "Don't blame me for what happened. I heard she fell or was it your doing? Aacha hua. She probably has lost the baby and now she'll hate you for eternity. She wasn't willing to come back to me and even slapped and cursed me for asking her back saying you are her everything and she loves you more than her life but you've made everything easy for me. She definitely won't forgive the murderer of her child and I'll win her back one way or another." Tears streamed down from Yash's eyes as he heard the word murderer. "How could I do this? How could I destroy the sign of our love? If anything happens to her...No nothing will happen. I will not let anything happen to her".
At that moment the doctor came out and blocked Yash's thoughts. "Mr. Yash your wife is fine now, she has regained consciousness but..." Yash was over the moon upon hearing his Aarti was fine that he just pushed his way through the ward. "Aarti" he exclaimed. She turned her head towards him, her eyes filled with tears, pain and emotions which he just couldn't seem to decipher; her face was pale as she lost quite an amount of blood. He went forward to hold her in his arms but he just halted. "But... OMG did I kill my Aayu? I'm her sinner. I made her loose her baby, our baby, our love. That look... Did I destroy my reason for being? Her Love?" Aarti turned her head away but immediately turned back when he heard a familiar voice calling out to her. "Aarti how are you? I heard you fell but I'm sure it was Yash's doing. You see I told you that he'll never accept your truth. The baby is no more and you don't have anything attaching you to him anymore. He doesn't deserve you. He's a murderer. I know you still love me, so just leave him and come with me. We'll be happy. You me and Ansh, our ansh." Yash just stood there without uttering a word. He was shattered knowing that Prashant was right. He destroyed her happiness. He ruined everything. How could he be so inhumane and push his Aarti and that too while she was carrying their love in her womb; however he was shocked as he heard her screaming "SHUT UP PRASHANT!! HOW DARE YOU TALK LIKE THIS ABOUT MY YASHJI. You are no where my Yashji. Just because I saved your life, it doesn't mean that I still love you. I only did it for Ma and Bauji and for no other reason. I love and will always love my Yashji. You mean nothing to me Prashant and you're the biggest mistake in my life but I will always be thankful to you for giving me Ansh as that was the reason I met my destiny, my Yashji. Just get out of my life." With that Prashant stormed out but not before saying "One day or another Yash, I will get her back. Just wait and see".
Yash looked at Aarti with remorse in his eyes as she again turned her head away. He was elated that she didn't hate him but why was she turning away. He slowly moved closer towards Aarti. "Aarti I know I'm your sinner. Because of me you lost our Aayu. I'm really sorry. Though my doings are unforgivable please I beg of you to forgive me. I can't live with your silence. Aarti please look at me. Say something. Curse me, scold me, hit me just say and do something." Aarti whispered so silently that it was almost unheard "Now that Aayu is no more, you won't be obliged to love me. You can leave me if you want for deceiving you Yashji but know this I love you and only you and I'm so sorry for hiding everything from you. The fear of losing you and the care, attention and love you showered on me for the baby just engulfed me that I couldn't tell you the truth." Aarti just cocooned herself and cried out loud. Yash went by her bedside and immediately held her tight letting her face rest in his chest as he said "No Aarti don't cry". He then tilted her heart shaped face and continued "I love you with all my heart and soul. I've never loved anyone like this before, not even Arpita. I love you for you and not because you were carrying our Aayu. Please forgive me. Punish me but never ever walk away from my life. I'll die." Aarti stopped Yash by placing her soft lips on his. Tears automatically slipped out of Yash's eyes as he firmly but gently wrapped his hands around her waist as they got lost in that blissful moment.
Yash moved away a little and teased Aarti, "Aarti you need your rest first before we have another child." Aarti's smile faded as it made her realise her lost. Tears again dwelled her eyes. Yash cupped her face "Aarti we lost our baby because of me and I promise that I'll make it up to you each and everyday for as long as we both shall live. In no time we will have another baby." Aarti hugged him tightly. As he said this the doctor entered and looked at them. "Mr Schindia you're already planning for another baby? You have to let her rest for another 6 months after this baby is born before having another. Both Aarti and Yash looked at each other gleefully then simultaneously asked the doctor. "Does that mean our Aayu is ok?" The doctor looked at them and smiled.
