I was a little surprised when he said that he was scared to see this side of hers.

As per my knowledge he has seen it before also remember the thief who snatched Yash's wallet and they both ran after him. She gave the thief a earful that time also and Yash was there. Plus she has given Yash her peace of mind also so many many times like before the boxing match when she confessed her love.

Please help me to understand, was this time any different from the previous ones.

But I loved the whole spoiler scene so much. It was so dreamy

I think the thief scene amaze him.. But this scene scares him bcoz he doesnt know the reason for Aarti's anger toward Prashant,,, And more over Prashant is his friend,, And this is the second time Aarti went JKR towards Yash,, 1st was during the Mumbai market scene..
