Prashant dumped Aarti for another woman.

When Arti and Yash's marriage was being fixed, Yash's parents were very particular that they wanted a widow for their son and not a divorcee so Aarti's first in laws lied to them saying that Aarti is a widow. Aarti herself was unaware of this lie until the day before the wedding. But since then she too has kept this truth hidden from everyone.
