PART III

"Paridhi, no. I know we all don't really believe in such things but mumma has always asked me to be careful with such stuff. She alwaystells me that if bad things happen on a journey, we shouldn't moveahead." Aarti said trying to convince Paridhi not to act brave andhead back. "Bhabhi c'mon, it was you who wanted to go in the first place." Aarti sighed, "I know that Paridhi. But now it's me who's asking to move back." "Not now Bhabhi. Don't be scared. It's all going to be cool." Yash circled his arms around Aarti, "It's okay Aarti. Just let this be. Everyone wants to go now. We'll stick together and we'll be good."

With this the journey once again kick started with Aarti chanting
prayers on a regular basis while Yash rubbing her hand every now and
then to calm her down.

They reached the area quite close to the Bhangarh fort when theircarcame to a halt. Aarti instantly shrieked when Yash held her hand andsmilingly pecked her, "We are going to spend our night at this innAarti. We purposely stopped the car here." Aarti breathed a sigh ofrelief and moved out of the car.

They entered the inn to find a small cabin like hall with an extremely
high and round ceiling. There was an abstract painting on the ceiling
with the green color which shone bright in the dim light of the inn.
They went to the desk and asked for two rooms. Paridhi looked around
and saw an empty hallway decorated by a false wooden wall which was
adorned by the painting of the dark Bhangarh fort. The painting had
shades of darkness and light shadows depicting a battle. She gulped
her saliva and grabbed Pratik's hand. Pratik rubbed her hands and
blinked his eyes in assurance. Both the couples went to theirrespective rooms and settled themselves.

Aarti rested her head on Yash's chest and clutched his shirt, "Yash, Ican hear hisses in the air. I'm still telling you let's just go back."Yash lovingly patted Aarti's head, "Aarti, if it would have been only about the two of us, we would have headed back right away but now Pratik and Paridhi don't want to go back." Aarti rubbed her cheeks on Yash'st-shirt, "Yash, but I'm scared now for all of us." "I told you I don't want to get you to a scary place. I knew it's going to be difficult for me, the only brave one, to handle you guys. You all are cowards. Arghh." Suddenly that defensive fire rose in Aarti and she retortedback, "Mr. Yash Scindia, dare you say I'm a coward. I'm brave enough and I'll show that to you." Aarti turned away from Yash and Yashsmiled. Finally, he could divert Aarti's mind. He circled his armsaround Aarti, "That's not fair. I think I deserve better for gettingback the tigress in you. 😉" Aarti smiled and pecked Yash and theydrifted to deep sleep in each other's' arms.

A hand grazed her forehead and scratches appeared. That hand on its
own accord moved back but soon reappeared with the steel scale. It
sharply planted the tip of the scale on first scar and dragged italong the lines of the scar. She wanted to scream but she couldn'tfind her voice. Tears flowed through her eyes but the hand mercilesslydug her scars. Blood started dripping from the scars and the hand roseitself in victory. The hand moved itself near her mouth and advancedthe scale inside it. The scale touched her lips, dipped hard and BAM!

Aarti sat upright touching her lips and feeling them. Her handsshivered at the dream. Dream, Could she really call it a dream? Didn't
it feel real? Aarti grabbed the glass of water and for a friction of
second, she saw blood. Aarti immediately gulped down the water and
calmed herself. She saw Yash peacefully sleeping by her side and the
calmness on his face relaxed her. "Yes, it was just a mindless dream",Aarti thought and cuddled into Yash and fell asleep. Yash opened hiseyes and kissed Aarti finally feeling her relaxed breath. He knew he'llhave to be strong for her.

Next morning, the sun shone bright opening its arms to welcome the
fresh couples ready to move ahead on their journey. Pratik grabbed
some snacks and hopped into the back seat beside Paridhi while Aarti
sat beside Yash in the front. Yash looked at Aarti's worried face and
once again decided to discuss if they should go ahead, "Listen guys, Ithink we should just drop this and go back. We can plan a trip somewhere else." Pratik fell backwards on his head and exclaimed, "No way! We are going ahead Bhaiya. Chill, let's relax." Yash turned hishead back to the front and drove off.

The car stopped in front of a huge but distorted Bhangarh fort. The
structure was much distorted but yet it oozed elegance and grandeur ofits times. The four of them hopped out of the car and looked at the
fort in awe. The area was so huge but there wasn't even a bird to be
seen. They went inside the fort and looked around. They could see
small windows and lots of rooms. They went inside a room and Paridhi
by mistake banged her hand on a piece of wood there. A loud echo
followed the fall. Aarti suddenly jumped towards Yash scared of the
sudden noise while Yash smirked. He picked up two wooden pieces and
started musically banging them on the wall. Rest of the three started
tapping their feet on the music Yash was creating. Aarti smiled and
started singing along.

Yahan ke hum sikandar,
Chahen to rakh len sabko apni jeb ke andar,
Are humse panga mat lena mere yaar.

Everyone cheerfully laughed and started playing along with the echo
the room was creating.

After sometime, they came out of the room and started walking around
in the corridor. There were pillars and room all around them. SuddenlyParidhi held one pillar, "Pratik, take a picture of me like this."Pratik instantly fished out the camera and clicked a picture. Soonthey started running here and there clicking pictures of each otherlost in the fun of the moment.

After sometime, Aarti lied down on the grass supporting her head on
her hand and Yash immediately tried of click a picture of Aarti. He
looked into the camera lens and was about to click a picture when he
saw something weird behind Aarti. He put the camera down and saw Aartismilingly looking at him posing for a picture. Yash shook his head andfocused the camera lens again when he met the same view. He againmoved the camera away and saw nothing behind Aarti. "What happened Yash? Why aren't you clicking a picture?", asked a frustrated Aarti.Yash looked back through the camera lens and mouthed, "I see a distorted figure behind you Aarti." Aarti immediately stiffened andher smile vanished. Aarti slowly turned her head backwards and astrong wave hit her face and Aarti screamed, "Aaa."
