Our readers will remember that we had featured a story recently on Debina Bonnerjee coming clean on the accusation that she was insecure about her husband Gurmeet Choudhary's co-stars (presently Drashti Dhami).
Debina joins us for yet another candid interview wherein she talks at length about the journey of Gurmeet in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. "Guru has already put in so much of hard work and he needs to put in a little more as we are now in the final leg of this big ticket Colors show. I do not want to comment anything about the result though as it tends to upset the chances."
On Gurmeet's participation in Jhalak, Debina adds, "It was always his dream to take part in a dance reality show. In fact, we had been offered Nach Baliye when we were busy with Ramayan (Imagine) but we could not take it up as we were under an exclusive contract. We had also been offered the latest season of Nach Baliye but I think that is not happening. If that had happened, Gurmeet would have preferred Nach to Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. He would have opted to dance with his wife."
On the hard work Gurmeet has put in for Jhalak, Debina shares, "He is immersed in rehearsals after the day's shoot for Punar Vivah. He comes home only by 3.30 in the night and I wait for him at home. This has begun to take a toll on my health as I am also caught up with my schedule of Chidiya Ghar. But being his wife, it is my duty to take care of him. I do not call him ten times in a day asking what is happening with him. This will only irritate him and make him weak. All the judges have appreciated his work so far in Jhalak. Let us see what happens now."
