In Aarti's defence will say something ...
Do we as audience really know why Prashant left Aarti ?? was it clearly shown to us ?? 🤔
Prashant today in a very practical tone told the truth to Aarti that love cannot b forced and so he cannot love her ...its a bitter truth but here Prashant dint really keep Aarti in any sort of false hope which he could hv done to get his house back ...but he was honest to Aarti here ..he was clear about the fact that he wants his house back but he cannot accept her as his wife again ,..,
Even then Aarti kept convincing him about her love ...Why is Aarti so hell-bent to convince him ...does she feel she is responsible for Prashant leaving her ?? 🤔
Lets look at Pankaj-Vidhi relationship ...Vidhi's too much involvement in family and kids has left Pankaj feeling ignored ...but Pankaj is a loyal hubby and will always stick to Vidhi ..but he might do some masti outside like bachelar party ..😆
Was Prashant-Aarti hving similar kind of relationship like Pankaj-Vidhi where Aarti was too much involved in family and Prashant felt ignored ?? 🤔...Prashant was not as loyal as Pankaj and so he was quick to leave Aarti and find a suitable girl for him who can give more time and importance than Aarti 🤔
When Aarti realised that Prashant is moving to some other girl because she is not able to give him time ,she tries to stop him but it was too late and since then she is suffering from this guilt mayb that she could not prove to b a good wife ...🤔
Mayb thats why she is not putting the entire blame on Prashant because somewhere mayb she too was at fault here as Prashant had different expectations from her ...

@golda: Oh so true! i had never thought of applying this to other characters but it certainly works for Shobha and Dubey! Shobha does pick up signals from the universe/fate/destiny. Somewhere along the way she has understood that Aarti was meant to be in her life and perhaps Prashant was a vehicle for that connection to happen. She must have felt immense guilt when Prashant left, but she opened her heart to all the signals and saw this broken girl who did not deserve her lot in life, took it as a sign and loved her with all she had. And in return she got the sweet, principled, strong and loving child she as a mother deserved.

Papa Dubey, on the other hand has not opened himself up this way. He is still very much stuck on relationships as defined most traditionally and though he loves Aarti, he is regretting the sacrifice he is having to make of his own flesh and blood, first Prashant and now Ansh.

But since we established that in this respect Aarti is like Dubey, driven by her emotions, we can also surmise that she is thankfully marrying someone like Shobha, ie Yash. I think this is why Shobha likes Yash so much. She sees herself in him and she knows that is what Aarti needs.

Jyo, very good point. It takes two to make or break a relationship. So, Aarti feeling guilty and also feeling that maybe she could have done something more to salvage the relationship is very normal.

@ enchanted, I don't find it difficult to understand Aarti's behaviour today at all. I completely understand your point but has Aarti ever had a chance to talk about why their marriage broke down with Prashant. I don't think Prashant has ever given her that opportunity.

From what we understand he left her and then hasn't bothered to keep in touch with her at all. She has had 5 years to stew about why Prashant left her and the only answer she probably came up with was that it was her fault that she wasn't able to prove to Prashant how much she loves him. Today (again as we audience are led to believe) was the first time Prashant and Aarti spoke after he left her. If she sounded desperate it was because she really was. Tomorrow she is going to get married to a stranger about whom she knows nothing about. She probably felt she had just few minutes to convince Prashant that she loves him and that if he gave them a fair chance their relationship could work.

As a viewer yes, I too was disgusted that she would beg a low life like Prashant for a second chance when he should be groveling at her feet. But for a woman who grew up as an orphan and Prashant probably being the first person who offered her a sense of belongingness, I can understand and empathize with her when she was begging Prashant for a second chance. And I think in a way she needed that so that in future she will know that she did everything from her part to salvage her marriage to Prashant.

It remains to be seen whether or not Prashant and Aarti had a talk about their failing marriage... We have been just shown one scene of Prashant leaving him,if there was discord before and they tried to work on it,remains to be seen. But I think it was not for the lack of love that Prashant left. If I remember correctly, he said that he felt suffocated(with too much love?)... He was not ready to be tied down forever in a bond, he wanted to be free. So maybe Prashant left for not lack of love, but due to too much love. The reason could be as you said that Aarti was an orphan, and Prashant offered her a sense of belongingness. He gave her not just a marriage, but a whole family, in form of such loving and doting in laws. So maybe Aarti showered all her feelings on him,not just out of love, but also because of a sense of indebtness. Even today Prashant said to Aarti that he had told so many times that he doesnt want her and there is no future for them. And that she is selfish, to want him back, when he loves someone else. And yes that desperation, which Aarti had today,it arises, not due lack of love, but due to over abundance of it.

Forgot to post 😛 ;; posted in MF as well

I felt like doing Prashant's naam karan today ...
..
And since he is always a pareshani for us and Aarti and the Dubey's in general I felt like giving him the perfect name -- PARESHANT.
..
Because going back to your ex-wife who you happily abandoned 5 years back because you couldn't care less about her or the life that was growing inside of her and returning on her wedding day to ASK HER TO PERSUADE YOUR PARENTS TO LET YOU BACK IN YOUR HOUSE WITH YOUR GF JUST DESERVES A BUNCH OF:
AND THIS
Because frankly Mr. PARESHANTSo please
GET A LIFE.
Because seeing this museebat waltz into their previous love-spot and sugar-coat everything by saying "oh how beautiful you look .. that colour suits you" garbage and then demanding something like this from her as if she was his loyal servant .. I was just plain
..

Also I m wondering mayb its not really easy for girls to forget the first man in her life and move on irrespective of whether he is a moron or not ..
Even balika vadhu shows the same ...Jagya leaves his first wife Anandi and starts loving Gouri ..marries Gouri and now Gouri is preggy ... but Anandi still keeps loving Jagya ...today when Jagya wants to return back to Anandi ,we see Anandi is ready to accept him with open arms ,..
Whereas the same cannot b said about men ..once they move on to another women , they will never return back to their past women if that woman gets engaged to some other man ...here Jagya returns back to Anandi because Anandi has no other men in her life ..but if Anandi had been involved with some other men ,then I bet Jagya would hv rejected her rather than returning back to her ...
So its always a women who will accept her man despite 100s of faults in him ...but same cannot b said about a man
Sorry for bringing Balika vadhu here ..but just that I found Aarti and Anandi going through a very similar phase and emotions here ..so felt like giving this example 😊

@Samana: I am still mulling over that line you have written: "Yash feels emotionally satiated while Aarti is left feeling empty-handed." In a sense they both are in that position, for sure, but in both cases that is a result of what they seem to have told themselves is the truth ... whereas the real truth is quite different.
For example Yash tells himself that Aarti is after all in the same boat as he himself is, and that makes him feel like he has found the "logic" to make this marriage workable. Its his truth for the time being, although its not the real truth where Aarti is concerned.
Similarly Aarti tells herself that she is empty handed after the trip to her mandir and its her truth for the time being, although its not the real truth (because how she is feeling is related to the expectations she had when going there and her expectations were not founded on reality).
His satiated feeling and er empty handed feeling may give them both a sense of closure albeit in different ways. This closure can even create a sense of relief or a premise from where a new life can be built.
But my question here is: if people are happy with situations based on whatever seems true for them at the moment, how long will such sand castles last? Can a marriage be workable on a basis that feels stable but is inherently untrue?
I'm not asking this only from the serial point of view but even generally.

Lovely analysis by every one... From storyline point of view, good episode..But this leaves lot of Qs on what kind fo relation Arati and Prashant shared and what has lead to this decission by Prashant.
Also, I did not understand one point. I have noticed Yash looking at "Prashant,Arati" written on the wall but did he connect those names to this Arati?
Now Yash is clear in his mind and he is also able to understand the reason of Arati agreeing for this marriage. Next step should be from Arati now

@Angake: Yes please do call me Mansi! 'm happy you felt the same way I did about the beginning of love coming from looking at the world through the other one's eyes. You are right. If Yash did not have that peace of mind he now has he could not have tried to see the world from Aarti's point of view!
