The people who know me knows that I am die hard Geet fan and also love Gurmeet and Drashti a lot... I met them and they know me pretty well...
I have loved Maan and Geet and I simply have loved Gurmeet and Drashti for their superb perforance as Maan and Geet..
And after loving them so much as Maan and Geet I had a desire to meet my favorite actors and luckily I was able to meet them not once but twice and had a great time with them..
Why I am saying this again as all have read my post regarding my meetings... Please read all the way I have reasons...
During my most recent visit on the sets of Geet just before 2 days of the last shoot of Geets I met Gurmeet and Drashti..
Of course it was the just two days before the last shoot my question for them was why are you closing the show we would love for this to go on..
The answer I got from all of them was that they all wanted to keep on shooting for Geet but the channel was closing down and they could not do anything about it..
I also asked them about any possiblilities of Geet2.. and Gurmeet and Drashti both told me at that time that there was no possibility as if the PH wanted the Geet 2 they would kept the Geet 1 but none of the PH have approached them and there is no way..
Drashti is very frank and straight forward girl and when she was asked many times what about Geet 2.. She has told very clearly that please forget about it there is no possibilities..
That was not the statement printed by some tabloid or manipulated article.. Dear friends those were the words spoken by Drashti herself.. on TT and Watssup TV segment. Gurmeet and Drashti both have clearly said that they want to broaden their horizon and they would like to work with different actors...
I have talked with them and they have told that they both loved the role they played but after closing the show it is time for them to move on...
And for me I love Gurmeet and Drashti both I would respect their wishes to move on and move with them whereever they go.. and whatever show they would do I will be part of that...
now comes the next part which I am trying to say to those people the die hard fans of Geet and Maaneet..

I know there are thousands of people like me who adore and love Maaneet.. and if you asked them about Maaneet they would tell you there is no better magic then Maaneet magic and no chemistry like Maaneet..
Yes I know that as I am part of them.. but the bottom line is the show was closed and Maaneet are now the part of our beautiful memory and it will stay their always..
After a month of Show's closer we know that Gurmeet has taken the new show and Gurmeet and Kritika would play the lead..
The show has been on the air for 2 weeks and has generated a great response and had great TRP of 2.6 for the debute week which is great thing for the 10.30 time slot and on the second week it was at #2 for the same time slot..
OK my this blabbering is only to say that.. the Production house has the full crew of successful director and casting directors and writers and dialogue writers..
Before the actors were finalized the story concept was cleary outlined and story was finalised and after the story was taken in to account the hunt for the lead actors was on..
I think the casting directors were given specific instruction to get the leads according to story and flow of the story.. and considering this many were considered and Gurmeet and Kritika were finalized..
Before signing the contract for this show.. the PH... the producer... the director knew all about their lead actors and how great they are and how great was the chemistry of their lead actors with thier co-star in the previous show..
Do you think only we Maanitians or Geetians or Gurtians know how great chemistry Gurmeet and Drashi had as Maaneet??? man the whole world knows and Zee TV knows for sure because Gurmeet and Drashti won the best jodi award in the Zee TV awards... Don't you think people that these is show business and the main theme of any PH to produce the show is making money... They want to give you such a show and such a pair that will make lots of money
So if the PH got Gurmeet and Kritika as the leads they know what they are doing and they know that Gurmeet will be best as Yash and Kritika will be best as Aarti.. being full aware of the huge fan following Gurmeet for Geet. They were totally aware of the fans love for Gurmeet with his co-star Drashti...Don't you think they would have love to approach her for the show??? as the name Gurmeet and Drashti together has created the history on screen??? But Gurmeet and Drashti were not taken cause they also know the desire of the actors that they want to try new horizon and work with different actors
The way we would have loved to see them together, I think some PH would have loved to cast them together as they know that their name together would bring lots of viewers.. and who would not want that for their new show??? But it did not happen that way and the reasons would be that this story has a different theme and a different concept and a different presntation.
But Guremmt and Kritika were taken as the lead,,,, They were not taken just like that but per the story and the concept of the story. They had to go through lots of formalities and they were tested for their look and considered fit for this roles..
and as I have seen 2 weeks of episodes and have seen the flow of the story I think the PH has done wonderful job in caisting this team of actors for each and every role..
My request to all of you is... Gurmeet and Kritika are Yash and Aarti and they are doing wonderful job as Yash and Aarti.. Let's enjoy the hardwork they both are putting to create this new story and new concept so let's enjoy and appreciate them
