Considering that this is an Indian soap, the pace of this show has really taken me by surprise...it's absolutely perfect! Nothing is rushed, yet they're not dragging anything either. Every aspect of the story is unfolding at the perfect time with just the right amount of emphasis being placed on it. Like someone said, I was amazed at how quickly the whole shart issue was resolved, within the first five minutes, Yash's mom had taken that shart back and not only that but asked for the date to be fixed as well. No unnecessary drama, no scary background music. there was absolutely no overdoing of anything, which I am LOVING!
As for why Yash is barely being shown, there are multiple reasons for that, one, that they want to keep the mystery and allure behind him alive, at least until after the marriage. His story is going to be shown in bits and pieces as we get to learn his character better. They can't go around and reveal the entire past of both the male and female lead at the same time, because then later they'll have nothing to build on. So they're focusing on Aarti's background first, because she is the divorcee, she has much more baggage, and it is her lie that is being concealed, so it makes sense why they are focused on her now. Secondly, Aarti is at home with Ansh all day, so it would make sense that they have more scenes and bonding time as compared to Yash and his daughters, because like we saw on Friday, when he got home from work, they were both asleep!
Also, like it has been mentioned multiple times in this post, the Dubey's are heavily featured because they are only going to remain a focus for a while. After Yash and Aarti are married, we'll barely get to see them, and that's when the customs and lifestyle of the Scindia household will be slowly revealed. We will learn about them along with Aarti, so that way they won't be repeating anything and maintaining that sense of freshness. And really after the marriage, the story will revolve around the Aarti/Yash/kids relationship and how the whole family plays a role in that.
With the pace this show is moving, I am sure we'll see the marriage within the next 2 weeks, and that's when the real story starts. This is all just the build up and I have to say they're doing a fantastic job with it :)
