The courtesan comparison is utter perfection! In my house my mother is the strict connoisseur of his craft. She raises her eyebrows in a dignified manner and nods in approval when his wet, shirtless form appears on the screen while I salivate, fan myself vigourously and begin composing odes and sonnets in my head that never sound as good when I write them down...

And when the dargah promo came on my mother was like "this looks exactly the same as every other serial"...*eyeroll* And I verbally pounced on her about how messed up and limited the scope for really talented actors was Indian TV and how it wasn't GC's fault. She heard me out, pretending to UNDERSTAND (psshh) and then said "of course, he is perfect. I'm sorry!" in this mocking, sarcastic voice.

So I just accepted her apology because, well GC's wondrous form and his all-encompassing eyes will speak for themselves and I will smirk to myself when those critical eyebrows go up in approval.
