Looks like CV's have determned to do something that no one could have ever predicted no matter if it makes sense or not. Also it doesn't look like the channel axed the show due to low trp's but i think te CV's themself decided to pull off the show as they couldnot understand how to take the storyline forward and that is why instead of trying to save the show , they are ruining it more and more where everybody comes to a point of not watching the show and just let it go off air .
What the Story was and What it became :
The story started on a good note - person waiting for his love for 10 years and deciding to get his wife remarried. When the story of Raj and Sarita's love started , trust me I thought if the same couple are going to marry again , then how will it be Punar Vivah and how will it justify the title - Punar Vivah _ Ek Nayi Umeed. Then entered Vikrant's character. At that moment I thought , yes this if these two get married and Raj and Divya marries, then the concept of Punar Vivah will be justified and no doubt seeing Eijaz as Vikrant I though this show is going to rock and Eijaz and Srishty (Visa) are going to be yet another deadly couple and will set the screen on fire with their amazing talent and chemistry.
Ok, it was all going good, there were unpredicted twists and turns- the Mumbai track, Raj's suicidal threat, Sarita's foolish plan, Vikrant's feelings , change in emotions , his trust (handing over Raj's phone to Sarita, taking her to Raj's home), Raj's madness. Though Raj's character almost drowned with his act of theft and leaving his family and his 10 years love behind and eloping with Sarita, though his sudden realization did not look real, but lastly he atleast corrected himself at the right time before everything is over and became or atleast showe genuineness towards Divya , Sarita and everybody else.
The major drawback in the story was when Vikrant picked up the gun to Kill Sarita or Raj, instead of confronting them or rather stepping back and letting go of them ,trying to be calm only an only for the sake of his son, his Abhi and deal with them in his own way . The CV's made Vikrant so unreal and unidentical to his character that was portrayed. May be CV's wanted to show the real Vikrant - every emotion at its peak (may be by trying to relate his behavior to what the match making lady says - " Vikrant AAG hai"), but at the cost of completely ruining and damaging his character. Was he the same man who was helpless by his Son's love and wish for a mother, was he the same man who trusted Sarita and was almost ready to accept her, was he the same man who attempted to reciprocate her love and care for his son and himself with Love again, was he the same man who told her that he will not wait or make her wait for 10 years to express what he feels, was he the same man who apologized to her as soon as he realized his mistake, was he the same man who initiated to take the responsibility of Raj's sisters wedding , only and only for the sake of Sarita, for the woman in his life ? No , he is no longer or is not the same man, the same Vikrant Suryavanshi who never lies, who expresses what he feels and who is straight forward and a practical businessman .
OK, as though if the character damage was not enough, Vikrant admitting that Sarita has killed Kajal, later realizing only after watching the CD and fighting with the police and taking Sarita away is utter rubbish and complete zerogical..He could have listened to his heart and if not anything else, he atleast could have said that Sarita cannot kill some one, not for him but again for his Abhi no matter how much angry he is. Knowing Sarita, and the sensible an practical business man he is ,he could have investigated the case all by himself and try to find the actual killer though letting Sarita arrested at the moment till he get the proof. He could have hired a detective or somone with his contacts like he used one to find Shiela over night or just in hours.Where did that Vikrant go?
And to add fuel to the debris was the fasttrack courtroom drama where there is no defense lawyer, no bringing up the point of the motive behind the murder, no solid proof and the judgement was totally based on some fingerprints and people's personal opinions. (btw ofcourse it was Sarita's ring so Sarita ke finger prints tho honge hi, and what about Kajal and Vandana's finger prints, they too have touched the ring with bare hands and not with any gloves.Chalo lets' think the kheer has washed the finger prints on the ring, all that they coud get was from the Kheer bowl, common Sarita is the Malkin and she could have touched the bowls to check- and Divya was there with her. ) Again zero logic. To me Vikrant's realization after seeing Sarita's CD is not ideal , it just didn't go well with me and in no way can justify Vikrant's character.What if if didnot get to see the CD ever or Sarita has not recorded any CD., would he lte Sarita rot in the jail because of the misunderstanding he has, only because he felt betrayed.
Ok Sarita is a betrayal, but was is he, isn't hi love for her true ? isn't his trust on her true ? is it only materialistic ? is it only give and take ? you give me love and I give you love back ? You betray me and i destroy you ? is this what the Cv's are showing us? Where is Nayi Umeed here ?
Seriously I dont understand, what people are thinking and what they are showing. There are so many OS, FF and wonderful ideas posted in this forum. CV's could have used any of those to make the show better. If they felt offended to copy other's ideas and indeed use their own creativity, they should have given their 100% to justify the concept and the characters' No doubt the show has amazing actors, potentially talented - whose talent could have been used much better. I dont think there is anything wrong in taking someone's idea, but it depends on how you implement it. Take a idea and creatively implement it so it will be win-win situation for all.
I am sorry guys for the lengthy post, but cant stop myself from doing this.Its not the channel's fault is what I feel, its the Cv's , the makers fault that they couldn;t do justice and pull the show well.
