Raj fixes Sarita's marriage to Vikrant Suryavanshi and Vikrant and Sarita get engaged. On the day of their engagement Sarita mistakenly puts the ring in Raj's finger. Raj instataneouly apologises and takes the ring off his fingers and Sarita places the ring in Vikrant's finger. Raj suddenly realizes his love for Sarita. He gets drunk and confesses his feelings to Sarita. Sarita breaks off the engagement with Vikrant and goes back to Raj. Shiela (Raj's sister) elopes from the house with Rohan/Guru, Vikrant's brother. Sarita asks Vikrant for help and he puts a pre condition in front of her to marry him first. Sarita agrees to the deal and Vikrant saves Sheila. Sarita's decision to marry Vikrant leaves Raj heartbroken.

Sarita and Raj get divorced. Vikrant and Sarita get married. Divya (Parul Chauhan) makes an re-entry. Raj visits Divya on her sets and slips an engagement ring in Divya's fingers to satisfy his ego.He wants to prove to Sarita that he can be happy too. Sarita and Vikrant have regular fights while Vandana tries to spoil their building relationship. Divya thinks Raj is not behaving normally. Vikrant takes Sarita and Abhi (his son)along with him to Mumbai on a business trip because he fears Sarita's attachment to Raj. Abhi wants his father and new mother to come close like other parents but his parents fight everytime he tries anything . Sarita is proves to be a good mother for Abhi which satisfies Vikrant and makes him happy but he is still unsure if she would be a good wife for him. Vandana comes to know of Vikrant and Sarita's closeness and pledges not to let it happen. Vandana infuriates Raj by telling him about Sarita's honeymoon and how she is enjoying her new life post marriage. Raj asks Divya to come to Mumbai with him but she does not due to her work schedule. In Mumbai saritha and vikranth are developing feelings for each other but the twist comes when Raj and divya come to mumbai to the same hotel, vikranth thinks that saritha and raj both planned this from the beginning and saritha still loves Raj.

Raj comes to know of the truth behind Sarita's marriage to Vikrant and is adamant on getting Sarita back in his life. Vikrant starts doubting sarita everytime he finds her with raj. Raj asks sarita to elope with him leaving behind all the customs and social beliefs to which sarita refuses giving importance to her son Abhimaan and husband Vikrant. Raj asks Sarita to kiss Vikrant publicly to prove she can be happy in her new life.Sarita accepts the challenge. Sarita although very uneasy tried to kiss Vikrant during her dance but retreated at the last moment because her inner soul didn't allow her to do so. This made Raj feel Sarita still loved her . Raj forced Sarita to elope with her or else he would jump from the roof top. Sarita agreed to stop him from jumping . Divya saw raj and sarita talking but they didn't tell the truth to her. At the aiirport, Sarita told Divya that Raj wants to elope with her. Divya in a rage of agony slapped Sarita. But Sarita explained to her everything that happened and how she got married to Vikrant. Divya realized her mistake and apologized to Sarita. They both promised to bring Raj on the correct path . Divya also asked Sarita to accept Vikrant as her husband and allow their relationship to grow. Vikrant on the other hand is still doubtful of Sarita's intentions and her relationship with Raj.
