Sarita is extremely selfish..

She is almost worse than Raj.

sarita knows that divya is raj's love...she knows that divya lives raj a lot
..raj is confused...sarita wants divya not to leave raj as divya is raj's first n true love...
sarita very well knows that she is abhi's mom n will never leave him n go to raj...it was not her fault that raj came to mumbai after her...it was raj who always used to bump into her...she always tried to stay away from him

i know that the actors are only acting, but in order to get their emotions across the have to use psychology symptoms to put across what the character is feeling. sarita used words like Pagalpanti, feetur, to describe what raj is doing, she said in very clear words that for 10 years he was married to her but wanted Divya, that he was the one who brought vikrant into her life, and that when she got engaged to Vikrant he professed his love to her, and now that she is married to another man he wants her.

Sarita cares for Raj, but i dont think she is strongly in love with him any more. she cares for him enough that she does not want him to hurt himself. she sees that raj has become irrational, and does not really know what he wants or what is right and wrong. because in his madness he has forgotten his responsibility to his family.

Divya loves Raj, and once Raj understand that sarita in not his anymore and nor will she be, there is a chance that he will understand Divya's love for him, and the old feelings of love will blossom.

sarita is not being selfish, she is just not heartless. she knows that if raj does something to himself his whole family will be devastated, she feels that only Divya can help raj.

sarita should not have made those false promises to raj, but she had no other option at the time. and he methods to discourage raj were wrong too. but now with divya on her side may be they will be able to solve this problem.

besides being back with vikrant and Abhi at home will put her out of Raj's reach and give vikrant and sarita an opportunity to become closer. the more she stays away for Raj the better.
