I understand Vikrant feeling insecure and jealous now that Raj has turned up, which has fuelled his possessive streak. He's been falling a little more in love with Sarita everyday and I'm glad he admitted to himself that she means something to him.
I think he also needs to stop for a moment to reflect. As far as he was concerned, he brought Sarita to Mumbai to prevent her from meeting Raj. From his perspective, he should consider that just because she's been trying to be civil towards him during this trip doesn't mean that she suddenly forgot about Raj in one day. He's angry because he thinks she was pretending to have special moments with him, but it was always clear that he's the one more affected by it all. Why would he think she'd suddenly flip a switch where her feelings for him or Raj are concerned?
Yes, yes, I understand that emotions do not always follow logic. Vikrant is conscious that Sarita married him against the wishes of her heart, and this will always create doubts and insecurities in his mind. The only way he would be rid of these insecurities is if Sarita loves him back and reassures him. I think he's gone past the point of just 'obtaining' Sarita, and it is no longer sufficient for him to just have her in his life as per his wishes. Now he wants her to really want to be with him, not just for Abhi's sake.
I get the feeling his cold exterior was the result of trying to deal with losing Jahnvi. He threw himself into work and did nothing but that, leaving poor Abhi neglected. He hardened his heart to the point where he froze his little boy out. It is only after Sarita came into their lives that he started spending quality time with Abhi, as he should have a long time ago. More than her kindness and honesty, he loves her fighting spirit and is drawn to her protectiveness. We know he's an orphan and would not want Abhi or himself to go through another trauma, and he really wants this family unit to stick together.
I just hope that Abhi is not hurt in the upcoming tug of war between the two men. I don't think it would be so easy for the CVs to split up Vikrant and Sarita because a little kid is involved, and his happiness should be above that of all the messed up adults.
