Uncertainties are part of glamour world'
She rose to fame with Bidaai and later made an appearance on Rishton Se Badi Pratha. But Parul Chauhan had disappeared from the limelight post her second show only to return to Zee TV's Punar Vivah " Ek Nayi Umeed. When we asked her where she had been hiding, the actress said, "Yahin toh hoon. Kahan jaungi? (I've been right here.
Where else will I go?) I got many offers after Pratha, but due to some reason nothing materialised. I also played the lead role in a film called Myoho. It had an amazing concept revolving around karmic cycle, but due to lack of publicity it went unnoticed," says the actress who believes that unpredictably is part of an actor's life. "Fame, success, failures and uncertainties are a part and parcel of the glamour world. There was a time when I hardly got any time to sleep because I was shooting round the clock. Then came a time when I had nothing to do," she adds.
The actress had at one point, earned herself the title of tantrum queen for her indifference towards the media. But Parul has an explanation. "When I was out of work, people kept asking me when are you making a comeback', what are you doing these days' etc. Honestly, at that point even I didn't have an answer to these questions so I politely declined to give interview and respond to texts and mails. Some reporters may have taken this the wrong way and thought of me as being a prude. But I am grounded."
Parul has replaced Rubina Dilaik in Punar Vivah since the latter left the show midway. She apparently wasn't very happy with the way her role was shaping up. "I have no idea why Rubina left the show and I don't see myself as a replacement. I get to play a TV actress in the show and she has negative shades. There is variation in the character. Zee TV is a popular channel. I saw the first season of the show and liked it. So I am very excited about my new role," she concludes.
