something that needs to be applauded from
time to time. And talented actor Eijaz Khan
displayed his professionalism attitude
yesterday (9 August 2013) as he shot for a
high-voltage sequence for Shashi Sumeet
Productions Pvt. Ltd's Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi
Umeed for Zee TV, even though being
seriously ill.
Sources from the set inform us that Eijaz has
been feeling under the weather, and was
admitted to hospital owing to high fever.
The actor was on IV fluids when he was
required for an important sequence
wherein Raaj (Karan V Grover) and Vikrant,
essayed by Eijaz have a face-to-face
conversation for the first time. Eijaz
immediately agreed to shoot and requested
his doctors to give him some energy
boosters that will keep him on his toes for
3-4 hours on the set. The pale and weak
looking Eijaz went on the set, shot the
sequence at one-go with Karan, is what we
hear.
When contacted, Karan was all praise for his
co-actor's commitment for work and said,
"Hats off to Eijaz for pulling off the scene. He
was very sick, with high fever with tests of
malaria being done on him. He not only
agreed to shoot the sequence as it was very
important and was meant to be aired the
very same day, but he also helped us out in
finishing the sequence and completing the
episode. I don't think many actors could
have carried it out the way Eijaz managed."
The heavy-duty sequence was the one
where Raaj goes to Vikrant's mansion for
the first time to see if Sarita (Srishty Rode)
can fit well into Vikrant's family.
Eijaz, kudos to your sincerity… We wish you
a speedy recovery.
