I know how hard it is to forget your first love. I've been through it. And it's so hard moving on with your life. But do any of you think that Divya is being selfish? I mean 10 years is a lot of time to move on. It is another matter that neither Raj or Divya were able to move on because of their unconditional love for each other.

I feel that Divya is being selfish for your love expecting him to be standing there waiting for her 10 years later, when she left him without any reasoning. If she had told him why she was leaving and that she would return later, then the case would have been different. But she just left Raj there crying for her. That was so wrong to do. And now 10 years later, she wants that Raj back. She still wants him to be hers.

On the other hand, there's Sarita who got married to Raj because of her parents. If Raj really wasn't going to accept her as his wife, why did we get married to her? Family pressure isn't a good reasoning. No one can FORCE you to marry against your own will. Unless it was a life or death situation, Raj wasn't compelled to marry Sarita. Just look at what the poor girl has to go through after marriage.

I find Divya's character to be very selfish though I do understand her love for Raj. One thing I really liked is that she was open with her to be husband and she told him everything. I admired that trait of hers.

Do you know about this business community where guy is like lottery ticket , marriages are business deals . Why did Raj marry Sarita , its no big deal if her father would have compelled him with taking his own life . Here i am writing this with the same situation , where his parents blackmailed him to take thier own life if he did not marry the girl of their choice and he left the girl in lurch whom he professed to love ..He was topper in his masters ,could have got job , but was a weak person . Here Raj is forced but whats the fault of that girl who suffered for 10 long years because of him ..I know this community very well and how does it work . Till now picture is not clear , why did not Divya told him about her decision , perhaps she knew and did not want her responsibility to be burden for someone ,who may be still in college . Yes i agree that it was wrong on divya,s part not contacting Raj in 10 years and expecting that he will be waiting for her .
But Divya is not selfish its not easy to sacrifice the 10 years of her life to fulfill her responsibility .

For those of you that said maybe she did tell him, but we don't know yet I agree with your point. Yes, how did Raj know that she was leaving? There are still so many unanswered questions. But what I'm writing is solely based on what has been shown so far. I hope she left with an explanation to Raj.

Raj has his own faults too. He isn't a flawless character either. But I find Divya to be the more selfish of the two.

Sarita is a gem. She deserves so much better.

I just feel both the women are victims of circumstances . Yes Divya, is wrong in thinking that without contacting the person for a long 10 years , expecting that he will wait for her . Now as for Divya , she must be 18 or something , who took the responsibilities of her siblings and struggled in Mumbai to get work and did not let anyone come in to her life as if 10 years time was freezed for here where she was at 18 ..About Sarita ,and her background nothing has been unfolded yet , but in that mad house any one can go crazy . Raj is responsible for this mess , if he was in love with Divya , he should have stood up to his father,s pressure or had left the house , not had the right to marry a girl then shirk from your duties .

In that case Sarita is also at fault because she married Raj knowing that he was not interested.I am also telling this because the reason why she married Raj is still not known.She learned the truth before the marriage itself.Then why did she go ahead.Her family was quite rich and influential and also educated.She is strong minded girl.So she could have easily backed out.But she did not.This is only based on what is being shown till now.If Divya can be termed as selfish for choosing her younger siblings who lost their parents over her love then Sarita should also be foolish to marry a person who was not interested in her. If Divya can be blamed so should be Raj and Sarita.Why did Raj married Sarita???He has not accepted Sarita yet so why he mariied her in the 1st place.
I guess we can blame anyone but in my opinion all three were bound by their circumstances.

One thing more,if divya is that selfish then instead of getting marry to sme else,she hung to raj and try to meet him..but she do nt..she accepted the truth, And i really like that..
