Prithviraj Chauhan is Anas's first serial on television in a lead role. He has been nominated in the Favourite Naya Sadasya (Male) category at the Star Parivaar Awards.
"It is a good feeling to get nominated and after so much hard work who does not like it. But winning or losing is not in our hands so whoever wins it good for that person," says Anas.
About playing the character of Prithviraj, Anas says, "The reason why I accepted the role of Prithviraj was because it was a challenging one. I would continue to do only such kind of roles which interest me. But it is the director of my serial who encourages me more than myself to do some dangerous sequences in the serial without a body double. So that's a kind of association I have developed playing Prithviraj's character."
Anas was approached to perform at the awards nite but due to his busy shooting schedule he had to turn down the offer. But he promises, "Whether a film or a serial or even an award function, if I get an opportunity to perform I will definitely do it with perfection."
Anas prefers roles which are different. "I would like to play the character of a angry young man who is soft hearted, but is a tough nut to crack. I will definitely not go in for saas-bahu serials but would wait for right opportunities to come my way."
