Rajat in Lucknow Times - 24 Dec 2007
Hi Friends!
Recently (24 Dec 2007) Lucknow Times published an article on Rajat titled "I have no girlfriend".
Here goes the article:
He is better known as Prithviraj Chauhan and his popularity can be gauged from the fact that even an online petition was filed when his role of young Prithvi ended in the popular TV serial Prithviraj Chauhan. All of 14, this boy has not only girls but aunties drooling over him. Interacting with 'media' is something he is learning and he innocently apologised us for any ineptness, if at all.
Ask Rajat how it feels to be so popular in a short span of time and he replies, "Its fun and exciting at the same time. At times I don't know how to respond but I manage somehow." And now when he is all set to appear on NDTV Imagine's new serial Dharamveer; does he feel his popularity will peak or will he get type cast? "I know people might take my role as a repeat of Prithvi, but it's actually very different. And I don't think I'll be tagged for any particular role. I think I have the talent and will prove it in my future projects," he says with conviction.
"I am small now, jab bada ho jaunga to main different roles karunga," adds Rajat. But the award winning actor makes it a point by saying that he doesn't wish to do candy floss romantic movies when he grows up. "I don't like all that. I want to do something else, something very different," is all that he says as he couldn't elaborate more on that. Probably he didn't get the right words.
On a different note, ask him what his priority is: acting or studies and he replies, "I'll first complete my studies as it is very important thing in life". And which is his favorite subject? "My favorite subject is the one which fetches me maximum marks, be it maths, science or any other subject," he answers with a dimpled smile.
And how many girlfriends does he have? "I don't have any girlfriend," he says sheepishly.
Ok fine. But what type of boy is Rajat actually? "I'm a very mischievous person," chuckles he. And does his hectic schedule allows him to spend time with his friends? "I don't have friends of my age group. My friends are from my crew. Actually I get to learn a lot from them.
