Hi Nice to see you all interested in Indian History... but the one who looted 17 times was Mohd Of Ghaznavi not Ghor :-)...

Let me clarify two things, I hope you people understand:

1. Hinduism is not a religion but a way of living :-)...

2. History is nothing but how you interpret facts, and it is always ruled by winner, In India we never believe in writing History but always trusted word of mouth.

So if people say what has been written in a istory book is always correct, I reckon no not always... they wrote what they felt is correct or been biased... hence I am completely disagree with the facts provided here...[forum.indya.com/showthread.php?t=50464]
And neither consider PRC a Sage, he was a Great Indian king, who was equally Human.... and yes he was considered to be the humble, soft hearted and adequate king of that time...

Now coming to the facts...

1. PrithviRaso is fictional story based on real incidents where characters are real, [original book written by Chand Bardai is almost destroyed].
2. Other authors simply revived the book based on the facts they had. No authenticities how close are they with the real one
3. After PRC died, and who knows what Ghori asked his historians to write about the king andd the battle .
4. As I already mentioned we as an Indian never maintained written history, and from word of mouth … people only have immortal stories about this great warrior, and they always portray him as a hero, even aftr being aware of the facts that we are invaded by foreigners because of his ideologies.. no matter whether you're in Gujarat, Rajasthan [or even in UP, where Jaichand ruled]
Don't you think that makes PRC an Immortal King of India?

Very true....i'd rather beleive word of mouth rather than history books which may not contain a virgin account of what actually happened !! Though history books are considered a more trusted form of info and sometimes rightly so.........but if they mention things like PRC was not good enough, I'd rather disbelieve them

We may not believe every folklore or folksong..but what amazes me is the fact that PRC's praises still do the rounds in those immortal folk tales👏 .......why would the masses praise him unless he was actually praiseworthy??👏

we as an Indian never maintained written history
i disagree to that... v indians were the people who used to keep histories... the puranas were histories of krita yuga.. ramayam is the details of the tretha yuga.. mahabharat of the dwapara yuga.... in kaliyuga.. there r some histories which is usually included with mahabharat.. like the story of parikshit.. but after that nothing is written.. then muslim came to india.. n then britishers.
