First of all, girls did get married at the young age. Secondly sanyo's marriage with Vikram was all Jaichand's Chachaji's plan. He persuaded Jaichand to get sanyo married to Vikram and the reason behind all this is obvious-- "rajaya" he wanted to rule like Jaichand. He made many plans like we've seen to get Prithvi killed before Prithvi gets crowned the Maharaj of delhi. It was just one of Chachaji's chaal, so don't blame sagars. They are showing what has happened, may just in a more dramatised way, but it's true. About Jaichand taking decision to get Sanyo married was later. Prithvi is not the one who clears misunderstanding, Jaichand himself solves this problem. And then Prithvia and Sanyo meet each other chupke chupke until Jaichand realises and the rest is known.
