waz sanyo d only wife of prc?

as the question speaks out everything, "was sanyogita the only wife of prithviraj chauhan?" 😉

well i was goin thru an article on "History of chandelas", wht strike my attention was this para in dat article -

The exquisite Dulhadeo Temple was constructed during his reign which ended around 1163 A.D. Yashovarman II succeeded Madanvarman but had a very brief reign of two years. His life was cut short by untimely death, and Parmardidev, his son occupied the throne of Chandellas. As the last of the greater Chandela rulers, he was crowned when he as still a child. An inscription of one of his successors refers to him as, "A leader even his youth who struck down the opposing heroes, and to whom the fortune of universal sovereignty quickly came, like an enamoured damsel, choosing him for his own free will." He ruled for a long period of nearly thirty five years. The first few years of his reign were of peace. The storm came in the shape of a conflict with Prithviraj Chauhan, who was returning to Delhi after marrying the daughter of Palnsen when he was attacked by Turkish soldiers.

well....according to my info.....sanyogita was his REAL LOVE.....but he had 7 wives.....earlier.....Kings used to marry more than once to get the friendship of the kingdoms and support for the army....! 😃

Well yes thats right. Because in those days Kings married other state's princesses to increase their powers and own more land and rule more. But according to My Reaserch it was only Sanyogita is had "Loved" the rest were just a way to own more.

Ya..PRC had 7 wives'..BUT..He ONLY 😳

prithvi had a total of 8 wives........he loved sanyo the most.......however...he still enjoyed the company of others.....

i actually learned something very interesting in psychology class abt kings and their wives:

Kings used to have more than one wife, because they preferred variety. The common man, however, because he wasn't as great s the King, usually was only limited to one wife. Even if they wanted more, they couldn't really get anyone else to marry them, since they weren't that famous, and many women preferred marrying men who were actually single. These chain of events is what has established the current mindset of only having one girlfriend/wife/woman at a time....Since monarchy is now nonexistent, all men are more or less common.......after years of monarchyless rule, this has sunk in to the point where women actually feel that it is WRONG if a man is seeing someone else except her.....whereas it wasn't always like that.......in the past, Kings who had more wives were more attractive, because it showed they had more power....

Now, that's interesting information.....
