sincere request+info abt prc

hey all u prcians

i am new to this forum and enjoy reading all ur posts,its really nice to see that so many of u are so interested and do surfing to find out more about prc and his life

there is one thing i wld like to tell all u ppl, pls dont beleive all the info u find online and discuss prc's life according to it.it's a sincere request from me bcoz i have seen in so mny posts that u ppl discuss abt prc having 6 wives bfore sanyo,ITS DEFINITELY WRONG INFO

prc was a hindu king and he had just one wife samyuktha/sanyogitha

okay here is some info that may clear this

in those days when kings consolidated their kingdoms and conquered the neighbouring kingdoms,the kings of those kingdoms wld surrender to the winning king and offer him everything they had and extend a hand of friendship with him by giving their daughters in wedding to him.

well this piece of info was given to me by my grandfather who was a historian himself and wrote books on indian history and mythology.

in prc's case as my granpa had told me, all those kings who surrendered to him handed over their daughters not only as a mark of frienship but also to protect themselves as they knew he was a great warrior and nobody cld touch him and any danger in future they will always be protected and so will their daughters.but my granpa also said that, although PRC agreed to this,never ever accepted anybody but sanyogita as his true wife

so ppl pls stop potraying prc as a characterless person.all that chitrarekha,prostitutes and infatuation is very wrong,it is so disrespectful to such a great warrior.i wldnt say all the info on the internet is wrong but ppl if u think deeply the info in the books are more precise than the inernet and blive me i have read many books on indian history myself and i know it

did u guys get this info(abt prithvi having 7 wives) only on the net or is it there in prithviraj raso the book by chand bardai .bcoz if anyone has really gone through the book and it does have the info abt prithvi having 7 wives,then pls do let me know

i am srry if i have bored u ppl but i really felt i should make my thoughts known and request u ppl not to disrespect our king by calling him charecterless

Me too dont want to find The great king PrithviRaj Chouhan in that way .....

Rgding PRC having 7 wives ...i don't know but i think's it true 😕 ..as per Raso...Lakshmi is the rite person...as per wht i have known from Laks (Raso)..PRC had 7 wives & sanyo was his last & most beloved wife 😳

well about the books, i have read 2 books in all about indian history and rajput kings both of them were from a library in the rashtriya swayamsewak sangh in bangalore

both the books have been written by veterens of the sangha so these books are not all that famous but anyways the authors were extremely learned,infact i met one of them and listened to his lecture years ago when he was alive.he was such a amazing person,he answered all my questions so well.so i want to blive what he wrote in his books 😊

anyways he also told me one thing that many hindu kings were disrespected by spreading wrong info abt them and prithviraj chauhan was one such king whose life story was changed on purpose as he had fought against muslim invasion in india

one more thing ppl,i told u in my last post that although he accepted the king's daughters,he accepted and loved only sanyogitha,i wanted to include that he was never involved with any of his other wives at all(well..my granpa did tell me this indirectly though 😉 ),and prithvi had only a son and that too only through sanyo

anyways guys as of me i only want to blive good things abt prithvi 😃

whether or not all the info i have is right or not i just respect him as a kind hearted and a chivalrous king 😃

First of all ..Raso was not written by chandar bardayii although he did started writin it.. it was not even written in PRC's time but much later by chandar's grandchild or something..

I do respect your feelings.. but as per my info ..not via net.. but a historian.. PRC had atleast 7 wives confirmed.. ie 7 of his wives were from ..as you call it "rajgharana".. He should never be called characterless.. and I being a hindu ..myself understand your objection to him havin more than one wife ..but dear at that time this was never considered to be of disrespect.. my even the brave Shivaji Maharaj had more than one wife.. All you can say is that PRC had many arranged marriage but only one love marriage with samyukta.. records hav it that samyukta ..sanyo.. was not the only wife who bore to PRC children..

In my mentor a historian's opinion, psychologically PRC was a driven man whose first love was for his father thats the reason why he learnt shubdha bhedi vidya, then fought bhimdev an equally strong king and finally to bring his fathers dream to life ..of being the the greatest of the kings in Hindustan he concurred the kingdoms around in craze ..unfortunately fortunately he fell in love with samyukta soon after ..now his drive was merely transfered from his father to samyukta ..more like blinded by love yet again.. no more a great king.. but just a great lover.. this led to his sudden down fall.. now he cared about nothin the world but his love for her not even his responsibilities as a king to his "praja"

..personally I don't see it as a bad thing PRC was only human ..you can't be great in all aspects at same time.. can you.. not even the courageous Prithviraj Chauhan.. don't get me wrong ..I am jus being realistic.. one shouldn't burden some one to be perfect ..even if its Prithviraj the Hindu king of Delhi..

actually my main source of info was the stories i heard from my grandpa who was a army officer and a great historian himself,he wld realte to me many stories of great kings and sivaji maharj and prithviraj chauhan's stories was also told to me by him,he wld relate the stories more in a patriotic sense of it rather than just a story! after all he was a army officer! and i wld have called him a fanatic rather than just patriotic!

ya i know that prithviraj chauhan did lose his interest in his kingdom post mrrg era

according to what i know his defeat to ghori was due to betrayal of jaichand and bcoz that loser attacked him after sunset
