well digvijay means conquering the whole country or the nearby areas. That means either the other kings got to do watever PRC tells them to do or they will have to face him in the war.

As we all know due to this digvijay mission of PRC, North India was already under the rule of PRC including capital Delhi and almost whole of the India was under the rule of PRC b4 he died.

Digvijay means "gaining victory in all directions."

This word is often used for Alexander.

The word digvijay is made up of "dik" and "vijay". As rule of Sanskrit grammar(more specifically sandhi rules), the letter 'k' of 'dik' becomes 'g' when 'dik' and 'vijay' are combined. So, it becomes digvijay.
dik = direction
vijay = victory

it means that all neighbouring small/big kingdoms will be forced to be under the rule of one state , here it's Delhi. If they agree ok otherwise they will have to fight with Delhi (i.e. PRC) It's a tactic to extend the territory & empire of a king.
