its some type of a kashmiri ornament.. i think it has the same purpose as a mangtika.. "suhag ki nishani" type of thing.. they believe its good luck if you are married and all.. mostly kashmiris wear it.. even i dont know what its called.. but i know that kashmiri people wear it..
but it is different from mangtika.. its more like those thingies made out of zardosi.. idk.. 😳 😕

take a look at this site:

http://www.webindia123.com/JAMMU/PEOPLE/kashmiris1.htm

It describes what it is..

Over the head and ears are pieces of muslin embroidered in gold thread..

The typical ornament that Hindu women wear is the dejharoo, a pair of gold pendants, hanging on a silk thread or gold chain which passes through holes in the ears pieced at the top end of the lobes. The dejharoo is the Kashmiri panditani's mangal-sutra.

and i also found some pictures.. they arent that cool.. but i guess i'll post them anyways..

there guys..

i have seen several topics regarding this.. so decided to make this new topic.. now no more new threads asking for what it is or means.. discuss all her jewellery and clothing here only to avoid several topics to discuss the same thing! 😃 😳
