Somebody edited Rajat's article in wikipedia. I had written Rajat's place of birth as Delhi but someone edited it and wrote Munirka Village, Delhi.
Here's what I found abt Munirka Village in wikipedia.com
Munirka
Munirka is a middle-class colony located in South Delhi, India. It is also an old village--complete with a smattering of Lodi-era monuments--now absorbed by the relentless expansion of Delhi. The main entrance to it is located on Outer Ring Road,Delhi, while the back of the colony is located directly across from Jawaharlal Nehru University, and many university students live here. While the front is a bustling market, the serpentine streets inside are home to a vibrant multi-cultural cosmos--people from all over India have found a home here, or cheap accommodation at the very least. Basically home to the Jat community (particularly the Tokases), the Indian Olympian swimmer Khazan Singh Tokas hailed from here. A splendid sports complex named after him is set on the southern fringes of the village. Munirka also lends its name to the various DDA (Delhi Development Authority)apartments that have come up around it, namely SFS Flats, Munirka; Munirka Enclave; and Munirka Vihar. On the outer edge of Munirka lies a huge open market--very typical of open-air markets found in India. The streets are numbered alphabetically, such as A, BC, BB, BA, etc.
Outer Ring Road, New Delhi
Delhi's Outer Ring Road is a road that circles the city with three lanes in each direction, with a total length of 47km. Although it used to have traffic lights and ag-grade intersections, mushrooming interchanges have reduced the number of lights to just two, and traffic now flows much more smoothly. Plans are underway to build an elevated ring road next to this one.
Junctions
Outer Ring Road features 14 junctions. In no particular order, they are:
- NH 8/Subruto Park, Vasant Kunj/Munirka/R.K.Puram, IIT Gate (flyover), Madan Gir/Chirag Delhi (flyover)/Adhrens Ganj, Kalkaji/Nehru Place (flyover), Modi Milli (flyover), Okhla, ISBT (flyover), Manju Ka Tilla, Majra Burari, Azad Pur/Jahingir Pur, Rohini, Peera Garhi, Sundar Vihar, Vikas Puri,
- Khel Goan Marg (flyover),
Pedestrian Underpasses
Like the Ring Road, Delhi's Outer Ring Road features some semblance of grade separation between pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Pedestrian underpasses are present at the following points:
- Near Chirag Delhi Flyover (DTTDC) Near IIT Flyover (DTTDC) Dr. Hedgewar Marg at Saraswati Vihar Soaminagar Mangol Puri Paras Cinema Flyover, Nehru Place
- Munirka
Additional pedestrian underpasses are to start construction at the following points:
- At Kalkaji Temple Junction At Panchsheel Colony
- At Sarvpriya Vihar
