Payal lost the thread of discussion and stared at him. Then She quietly broke the stare and looked down at her feet, sadly.What can she say?

"Koi pareshaani hai?"

"Kuch samajh nahi aa raha...",she replied,sadly.

"Gurudev kehte the jab kuch samajh nahi aa raha ho,toh sab kuch Bhagwaan pe chod dena chahiye,aur hamesha achcha socho aur khush raho,toh sabkuch achcha hi hoga."

She smiled in appreciation of his deliberate attempts to make her happy.

"Kal kya hoga? pata nahi...parr uske liye main apna aaj nahi kho sakti.Pata nahi kismat mein kya likha hai? Pundir ka aur mera saath likha bhi hai ya nahi? Aaj uske saath beetaya har pal mere liye anmol hai,shayad yahi pal kal mere zindagi jeene ki wajah bane....",thought she and decided to treasure each and every moment spent with him.

"Achcha pundir,tum aur maharaj prithvi ek hi gurukul me the naa?",She continued their convo.

"Haa... arjun.sanjam,aur chand bhi.",he replied,smiling.

"Chand? tumhara matlab hai...Chander Bardai?"

"Haa..Kafi kuch jaanti ho tum delhi ke baarein mein?",he spoke admiringly.

"Woh hame sanyogita ne...khair chodo,tum hume tumhare gurukul ke baarein mein batao na?"

He smiled at her and while they paced through the sugarcane fields was lost telling her about their days in Gurukul,the fun they had together.Payal was also lost in the story and was laughing at the pranks they used to play at the rasoiya and one of their gurus whom they used to call kaala kauwa;how all of them dipped chand in water in order to bathe him as he was very lazy about it.The earth below being slippery and muddy,she was just short of slipping thrice.

Prithvi and sanyogita were feeling a bit awkward and were thinking of whatever just happened between them.Prithvi was looking around everywhere,but not at sanyogita.He was never so happy before.Sanyogita was still walking shyly,with lowered gaze.

He looked up at the sky, through the swinging branches of the trees. Sky was full of slowly moving tiny clouds. He looked around.No one else was there. His pain in the head was vanishing. He was waiting for Sanyogita to say something on her own. Since they both were quiet, noise of insects from the woods and bushes near by was quite audible, and also the sweet clangoring of her bangles. There was beguiling fragnance spread around.

"Tum itni chup kyu ho? ",said he accepting the defeat in the act of who will speak first.

She slowly looked up and tried smiling at him,still very shy.

"Ek baat kahu?Sanyogita tum bahot sundar ho aur sharmaate huye to aur bhi sundar lagti ho", said he fondly looking at her shyness.

She blushed even more and it was difficult for her to even face him now.A sweet smile appeared on her face and her cheeks turned red.

"Parr...."

She looked at him,at once,questioning with her deep eyes....

"Parr.......meri Nandini jitni pyaari nahi lagti...",said he smiling naughtily, " Meri junglee billi toh mujhse jhagadte huye hi pyaari lagti hai."

Payal :"Ajeeb hai, hai naa? Pehle hum woh jagah chod ke kahi jana nahi chahte thhe aur ab hume waha nahi jana. Par hume aashram bhi nahi jana..."

Pundir :"Toh kaha jana hai tumhe?" He asked looking into her eyes as if he was ready to take her wherever she wants to go.

Pundir :"Payal, tum isstarah udaas bilkul achchi nahi lagti...tum toh..",he left it incomplete as she suddenly looked up at him.

They laughed melodiously and Prithvi again mooned of kissing her.

He glanced around treasuring the nature's green and pure beauty, cheerful and fresh atmosphere, smelling the pleasant and mesmerizing smell of the watered earth and enjoying the breeze which was kissing softly on their faces.

"Mausam kitna achcha hai,hai na?",he spoke something irrelevant in an attempt to make her talk.She nodded in yes.

"Woh... baat yeh hai, apni zimmedari nibhate nibhate mein toh yeh bhul hi gaya tha ke duniya ke kisi kone mein aaise pyaari jagah bhi hai jo tumse kahe ke pal bhar ke liye zindagi khushi se ji lo." He smiled shyly. "Barso baad aaise nazare dekh raha hu, toh pata nahi kyun par itne pyaare mausamme.... mein kuch aur sochna nahi chahta, mein bass hasna chahta hu, ji bhar ke kush hona chahta hu, jhumna chahta hu aur....." Prithvi did not come to know when his eyes were locked with hers. Sanyogita felt like he should go on talking to her for eternity and let no time stop them. Being transfixed she did not respond him, but stared at him intently.

"Tum kuch kehti kyu nahi?",Prithvi was at the limit of his attempts to make her talk.

"Hhhnnn...main kya...?",she stammered.

"Kaho naa kaho...Kuch to bolo?",he pleaded,emotions flowing in his voice.

She,not understanding what to say,looked around unintentionally...

Prithvi waited and waited,finally asked;

"Ek baat poochu?"

"Poocho...",bit relieved as she was no more required to start the conversation.

".........................",Prithvi was hesitant.He didnt understand how to ask her?

She eyed him,understanding that he is hesitant,

"Poocho naa...",she voiced once again.

He glanced her through corner of his eye,then thought of something,shook his head and,

"Nnnnahi, kuch nahi.",he didnt want to spoil the mood and the beautiful relation which was budding once again,afresh.

She didnt want the silence to come between them once again.Sanyogita felt like he should go on talking to her for eternity and let no time stop them.

"Tum kuch keh rahe the?"

"Nahi.kuch khaas nahi.Bass aisehi...",prithvi didn't budge.

'she got to do something..',thought she,coz she just couldn't tolerate the silence building once again between them.

"Achcha...!!",she exclaimed sudddenly,giving him expressions of a wild cat.Prithvi was stunned at her sudden change of tone and expression.

"Toh ab tum humse koi baat bhi nahi karna chahte...payal se baat karne ke toh tum mauke dhoonda karte the....",she was talking in high pitch,moving her hands angrily,leaving behind completely shocked prithvi.

"....aur usse dosti bhi karli...aur woh bhi itni jaldi....humse toh nahi ki thi....."

prithvi raised his eyebrows.

".......arre yaad karo...kaise ladte rehte the tum humse...humse toh tumne aakhri dino mein dosti ki thi,aur payal se itni jaldi....",she went on completely ignoring him.Somewhere deep inside she was feeling lighter as she was letting off her innermost anger,frustration,jealousy which she had bottled under the pretext of her so called HATE for prithvi.ofcourse,she was very jealous of prithvi and payal talking that comfortably,though she knew that prithvi can't love anyone Except HER.....

".....Aur aate hi apne maksad ke barre mein payal ko bata diya...humse to kuch nahi kaha...",she was annoyed as how quickly payal and prithvi became friends and began sharing about their 'maksad'; completely unaware of the fact that she was the bridge between them....she....securing whose love was prithvi's maksad and bonding these two people so much in love was payal's maksad.......

"Sanyogita...."

"....Parr tum hume kyun kuch kahoge...nayee dost jo mil gayi hai tumhe..."

Prithvi was dumbstruck.

"....aur hume toh aise andekha karr diya jaise hum waha the hi nahi..."

"SANYOGITA !!!!",he shouted putting his palm tightly over her mouth,"Bass....",he said softly.

She was saying something with his palm still on her mouth,which he was not getting.She indicated him with her eyes to remove his palm.He immediately removed it.

"Humme iss naam se itni zor se kyu pukaara?Agar kisine sun liya aur phir tum kisi musibat mein phass gaye toh humse mat kehna ki yeh hamari wajahse hua hai....",she complained.

"Junglee billi..",he laughed at her fondly.she joined him.

"Ab poocho...",she said folding her arms.

"Hmmm....sssSanyogita...itne saal tum mujse dur...mera matlab hai tumhari koi khabar bhi nahi thi...",he spoke slowly overcoming his hesitation, "Tum kaisi thi...tum thik toh thi naa? kabhi koi pareshaani to nahi..."

She could feel the concern in his voice.She was feeling better with his kind attention.How she longed to experience it all these years.

Prithvi looked at silent sanyogita and felt guilty.

"Mujhe tumse yeh nahi poochna chahiye tha....mujhe maaf kardo sanyogita..."

When she realised that he has mistaken her silence for her annoyance,She poured her heart out,

"Pareshaani...humari zindagi hi jaise pareshaani ban gayi thi..."
