Prithviraj Chauhan - Kahani ab tak

King Someshwar and Rani Kamalavathi have kept havan in Ajmer cos they are childless from past 10 years. Elder sister of Kamalavathi - Rani Rupsundari and her husband Vijaypal - The King of Kannoj also take part in that havan. Later on when Kamalavathi is persuading Someshwar to marry again, she falls down unconsious and it is known that she is pregnant. Everyone in Ajmer are happy and they are celebrating.
Invaders attack a village in the Ajmer kingdom and rob the wealth and burn the houses and kill everyone there. When Someshwar comes to know about this, he decides to go on war with the invaders. Vijaypal insist and he too goes for the war. In the war, Vijaypal is hit by a spear but he still continues to fight. At Ajmer, glass of milk fall down from Rupsundari's hands and she is tensed. Sultan hides behind the soldiers and hits arrows at Vijaypal. Vijaypal finally falls down but before dying he throws a spear at sultan injuring him. Sultan's soldiers take away Sultan and they run away from the battle field.

Rupsundari comes to Kannoj and upon her arrival she hears the death of Vijaypal from Jaimal ( Vijaypal's brother). Jaichand is distraught. Someshwar and Anangpal(King of Delhi and father of Rupsundari) consoles Jaichand and Rupsundari and finally Jaichand is made the king of Kannoj. Jaimal bribes a maid at Ajmer and makes her send milk mixed with medicine to Kamalavathi. Due to this, she looses her child.
Jaimal tries to poison rupsundari's ears by telling that he has doubts on the death of Vijaypal but she gets angry and slaps him. Kamalavathi and Someshwar go on a yatra barefoot to Puskar. She becomes pregnant again. Someshwar keeps this as secret and increases her security at Ajmer. Jaimal makes an astrologer tell Rupsundari that Jaichand has to be married soon. He tells about a promise given by Vijaypal to the king of Cuttak that he'll marry Jaichand to his daughter - Nayantara . Rupsundari doesn't give any answer but Jaimal sends shagun to Cuttak

They come to Kannoj, but Jaichand doesn't agree for the marriage. Seeing Nayantara in distress, Rupsundari makes Jaichand agree for the marriage. Jaimal gets doubt when Kamalavathi doesn't come for the marriage. Taking the help of Mahipat he finds out that she is 8 months pregnant. At Kannoj, Jaichand marries Nayantara.
