Ashish was awesome in the torture scene!

Pl note this post is not a praise post for the gruesome torture scenes shown yesterday, it's just appreciation for the actor

Yesterday I was in awe with Ashish's acting. I have watched almost all his works, but yesterday I was invested in him like never before. It was not just Prithvi's but Ashish's phenomenal acting which made me watch the torture scene.

In the first scene with Vaidraaj, it was a normal convo but the way Ashish carried it was beautiful. The way he takes heives and sigh's, changes the position of sitting, makes it look so believable at the same time endearing. This is something no director can teach you. IDK from where it comes from, very few actors do these subtle gestures which enhances even normal convo scenes.
When he's being tied to the shackles the way he asked Vaidraaj to leave with that assuring nod brought a smile on my face.

Mrinal enters. Prithvi greats her by shooking his head. I simply loved this moment, n love how Prithvi addresses Mrinal as "Rajkumari"
The whipping starts, so does the shayari by our Shayar Prithvi 😆😆
You can see the range of emotions he portays in this scene, from playful flirtatious admiration to true love and concern for the woman who's whipping him n in the process getting hurt herself. From pain of getting lashed and beaten to the "you can't break me, " look
What can I say about voice modulation. That's the strongest point of Ashish as an actor. He has a perfect command over Urdu hence the shayaris sound amazing. His voice had playfulness at the first moment to pain in the second, to concern for Mrinal in the next.
My favorite was when he said
"Os ki boond ho tum
Sharat ki mitti Mei
Mujhme mil Jane tum ayi ho
Hona hai yahi, Hoga bhi yahi
Phir chahe jitni bhi rusvayi ho "
Sply the way he said the bold part was 👍🏼
(BTW Prithvi u are still hopeful abt mrinal👏😉😆)

His concern to see Mrinal's wounded hands literally brought tears in my eyes (n mrinal's too thankfully)
"Bah raha hai Rakt Tere hatho se
Nikal rahe Hain praan mere"
Perfect voice modulation👏

In short whole scene shows his brilliance as an actor

The next torture scene was gruesome like anything. I won't describe it, but while getting whipped I loved this body language, it was awesome

"Mere Rakt se hoga yeh moh aur raseela"
Loved how he said hoga yeh thrice😉,
( I know it was too painful for Prithvi)
And his final poem "Yeh ishq nahi junoon hai Mera..." That pain in his eyes was heart wrenching 💔

Now coming to those points which literally set AS apart from all the actors. That's physical transformation. Before getting hanged Prithvi was kept in prison where Mrinal Tailap and Vikram had come to meet him. You can see how healthy he is in that scene. With heavy biceps n body. Compare it with yesterday's torture scene where his hands are tied to the chains. His biceps have slimmed down so much! N overall frame looks slimmer as compared to the scene before hanging scene! That's how he sets apart his roles. You can feel that Prithvi has become weaker with time
In precap's crucification scene, he has slimmed down even more💔

After watching yesterday's epi, I know why Ashish loves Prithvi so much as a character. The show and the character has huge scope of performance, from warrior prince/king to crazy Dharti and finally these emotionally heavy duty torture scenes.
And he's living the role like never before👍🏼
Take a bow!

Glad to see an appreciation post finally
yes it was one painful ep and it effected me to core
I am even thinking if I should skip next ep
but why so much pain
haven't we seen more gruesome scenes
and most of them does effect us
but this one uff
can't describe in words

Like you said no wonder Ashish loved playing Prithvi
it has everything for a performer like him
Those moans, groans that we got to hear
increased our pain many folds

I specially liked that part
where he was getting flashes of his life
and the Vaidya was trying to wake him up
for a moment I thought that he had lost his voice😭

We were exactly feeling like Sulo😆😆

Hats off to Ashish
such performances deserve every award
but we know how TV awards work
so not expecting😆😆

Thanks a lot for this post which makes me want to see the episodes for Ashish and I'm now only staying back to see his work as I lost my interest in the story.. But yeah will wait for the story to end only then I'll be able to watch it.. That time I can enjoy the performance without any need to analyze the characters like now and no need to boil my blood.. 😉

He was phenomenal!
As -Mano- has said, there had been many torture scenes on TV before this but it was Ashish's acting that brought out the pangs of pain from our hearts.
And yes, his voice modulation is one of his strongest point. The way he says his dialogues is just amazing.
He is one great actor and he performed brilliantly in yesterday's episode.👏

First torture scene was good as he was reciting poems n smiling. Second one towards the end became unbearable n then precap goodness 😲

Did u feel he has lost weight in this scene compared to prev jail scene or it's just me seeing too much? 😆
Bold- how did I miss that scene. He was choking

Actually award shows don't deserve Ashish 🤣
Ok jokes apart 😆
But yeah he should keep doing these shows, that itself is an award, to bag such amazing shows😳

I can't say if I am liking the track or not
But it was Ashish's best performance for me
I usually don't make appreciation posts
But this one compelled me to make one
