The names in RMJ are so common and typical, surely the creatives could have come up with better names for Gandhi's and Bedi's. the gandhi women sound like a rhyming session Bejal, Hetal, Sejal😆😆. surely there are better Gujji names, these names are outdated and overused by Zee.

As for the Bedi's what sort of name is Goldie for a guy😕. Surely the creatives could have given Vimmy chachi a more mature name. Sweety is not a name, it is a term used for endearment. There are such beautiful punjabi/sikh names for women.
I don't mean to offend anyone but I think creatives are getting lazy, they should keep with the times we are not in the 80's where these names may have been a fad. Indian serials should stick and support Indian names (which are beautiful & have depth) and not bring english varients which sound tacky. In saas bina sasural the punjabi girl has the name of Toastie, get real, I mean do Indian parents keep such names for their children.
Yout thoughts friends😊

I do not know too much about indian names but I support what you say about adding english touch to the names and even in the serials and movies. I always feel that any movie, serial etc that is coming out of india/bollywood should stick to their culture. There are many people all over the world not only indians but all nationality and race who likes the more cultural kinda movies. You would find if you research that those serials and movies which are successful are very much the ones showcasing indian culture and tradition

In Saas Bina Sasural, the lead character's name is Tanya, but they call her Toasty because her mother ate a lot of toast when she was pregnant with Tanya.
