In my opinion their is a big problem with Anukalp, he is mama's boy, his main aim in life is to please Ambaji at all cost, if abusing Mona keeps her happy so be it, to do so he hides from Ambaji and his family, his job problems, lack of money to buy jewellery to please her and her daughter, to keep her happy and Anu uses use Mona, and then keeps quiet when she is abused for making cut backs by Baa, Phui and Ambaji.

All Anukalap is interested in is his self image and ego and to keep Ambaji and rest of the family happy. He is using Mona to achieve his goal, not even ones he feels guilty about Mona being abused and used by him and his family. Anukalap is a horrible husband. He is the same husband who went to his sasural to tell not not to encourage Mona visits. He is living in bosom of his doting family and he has made sure Mona is isolated with no friends or family.

Baa, Phui and Ambaji can constantly abuse Mona because they Know that Anukalap will never take them on, or tell them off, he will let them abuse without raising hell. If Anu was strong and made clear he wanted everybody to respect Mona as a member of the family and no abuse will be allowed all three women will shut up.

I wouldn't want Anukalap kind of disloyal person as a friend let alone as a husband. All the surveys show that disloyalty is the number one reason people divorce.
