can you relate RMJ from the society, life that you belong to...does ths society still holds rigid, conservative family like Mona's or girls getting blames for others mistakes, mixture of different traditions, men being the final decision makers...etc..etc

how is RMJ close to our surroundings??

Gr8 topic sara. Since i live in a western society. Ppl r hardly conservative. Although, my family still is. We r slowly moving to a place where women r seen as equals and not controlled by men. In fact, in my family there is no pressure to get married and u can go to uni to study further. However, i guess in small towns and villages in india men still take all decisions.

I live in a western society men and women are generally seen as equals- it is a struggle with some things like jobs/positions. As for relationships i.e. friendships such as Mona and Anukalp there is nothing wrong with having friends from the opposite sex. As a teen however I was not allowed to socialize as much meaning going to parties, social events but now I can pretty much do as I like. As far as marraige its all up to me- I don't know about arrange marriages happening in JA- I could be wrong. There is no rush to get married, definately mixed cultures as for girls being blamed its up to the individuals involved putting blame on someone to deflect it from yourself or taking responsibility.
