You've have kept yourself away from daily soaps for a very long time. Why's that?
I worked for 16-18 hours regularly for three long years when I was doing 'Pratigya'. So I decided to keep myself away for a year, it was much needed because it was an intense show and I couldn't handle the stress anymore.
It has been intresting line up of work for you post Pratigya...
I have been lucky. People have appreciated my work and I guess that helps me get projects. Otherwise I am bad at socializing and networking. To me, work is important, but it is not end of the world. I would prefer being without work than bending backwards, asking someone for work.
And why did you keep taking up episodics after Pratigya?
In showbiz, out of sight makes you out of mind. So I kept doing episodics, be it for Savdhan India, Yeh Hai Aashiqui or Ek Thi Naayika. It has added a lot to my potential as an actor.
How's the experience with episodics been?
Episodics are good because they help an actor break his/her monotony which is bound to grow with daily soaps.
And what next?
Show titled Mujhe Pankh De Do, a unique concept from Ekta Kapoor. I want to anchor shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa or Dance India Dance.
