Mkap started with a bang with some unique characters and good storylines but what exactly went wrong with the show that it couldnt rise properly again! Is it cos of excess importance to side characters or neglency of leads 😡😡 for me the biggest flaw is that they ruined kriya love story side characters and neglency just widened the gap everything was fine till they consummated we were suppose to get kriya niwas ,kriya baby, krishna education long time ago instead of kn-arushi,sagagu etc😡 they didnt treat it properly as it deserved it be and this is why our show is now getting axed😭 they butchered krishna to show us an excuse that leads dont have any pull 🤢🤢 what do u think?

My view sorry for the long reply.😊

You're right they did start out with unique characters and kept changing their minds on how to write the character.

I don't blame the CV's fully for the ending and the decline of MKAP, but SP is at fault too. I feel some of the storylines that the CV's wanted to portray were shot down by SP, the reason I say this is I remember the show Tere Liye (I never watched) ended because their were creative differences between Ekta Kapoor and SP. It leads me to believe that SP was involved with the storytelling to some extent and maybe also had asked that certain tracks not be shown at the moment, still the CV's are to blame for not writing a well thought out and intriguing script.

Also I think most of the tracks were about social issues and you never really got to see some enjoyable scenes and if you did they ended it with showing some other social issue right away. For example after Kriya SR, instead of showing Kesar getting beaten up by KN, why not show Kriya enjoying their new found love for each other and after a few days or week then continue the track, with so much drama viewers also like to see enjoyment.

When the track ended and the person responsible for the damage never got really punished was a let down, i.e.,

1 Saxes easily forgiving Arushi for marrying KN and accepting that she realized her mistake without her having to deal with any remorse or punishment.

2 KN punishment for taking property from SS was him being tied to a pillar by a rope and then beaten, was ridiculous to me even though we were told by one of the writer's that KN will get his punishment. It was a let down.

Some other tracks could have been handled differently may have made it more interesting:

1 Having SS marrying Ganga that never appealed to the audience, if she would have fallen for Krishna (not that he would) and show P being a little jealous would have been nice or if not Ganga, continue with the Meera storyline I would have loved to see P get jealous of another girl falling for K.

2. Separation track and how they handled it was a huge mistake Krishna believed everything that Amma said and not P, and when he knew the truth and apologized to P and she didn't forgive him right away I could understand, but then not even try to listen to him was stupid especially from a person who said that K was not at fault but his mother was.

Unfortunately when a show looses viewers it is hard to get them back and SP had stopped promoting Pratigya for a few months, so I had my suspicion that they were purposely trying to bring down the ratings so they could justify in their mind for cancelling it.😡

Sad end to a remarkable show that I felt was finally getting back to the old MKAP and still had more to tell.😭

@ rekha : completely agree 😃

the CVs dragged n dragged side character tracks n ended most of it clumsily , without giving them proper punishment or closure so that they can jump to the next track ... it was issue , another issue , next issue 😡

Agree on all except Krishna-meera track or ganga fall for krisna..in my pov the show might not even got .001 trp for krishna's involvment with any other woman..this show work only becx of krishna's love for his wife...

Agree with u...its a fab show with fab starcast..but ignoring the lead is the main reason for mkap's exit...

c whatever the track may be they hv to give the more scren-time to the lead..whether they r argue, convo whatever..but they alwz give long irritating dialogues to Ganga,kesar,meneka,kn-arsuhi,,ASY...
thts the main reason for downfall of mkap...Side character is imp in daily soap but CV didn't realise that they r all side charcter...the story is abt krishna-pratigya's journey...give imp to the lead...till date they r doing the same..which scene we want to c they don't give us..which we don't want to c it they not shown that but give it more space again & again...

What went wrong with the show? A lot. Only SP cant be blamed for this decision. There were other factors.

1 Any serial adds more characters in its story line as the serial progresses. But MKAP was an exception to this rule not because it didnt add more characters but because it reduced characters.

2 The story for the last 6 months did not have anything new to offer. Whatever new they offered revolved just around court cases.

3 Baba had been shown as a lion in the beginning of the serial. However this lion was tamed by the lioness Babu. That was a character annihilation of the actor. He just submitted to whatever Babu told Baba to do.

4 Same fighting scenes going on and on and on between the same characters.

5 Too much of insult being hurled at father by Baba. Too much rude behaviour was shown.
